first, organic is not a scam...it’s a poorly run system. Organic is real. It can be defined, there are testing standards to meet.
Second, the word organic has a rich history that produces contradictory terms and definitions. One would never confuse organic chemistry with organic food.
Third, there are evil corporate forces working night and day to dilute the real meaning of organic. The Organic Trade Association is in the middle of this battle. And it doesn’t look good for the true organic forces at the moment.
Your comment about organic food having health risks is largely nonsense. Sure, there are cases you have to watch for where toxic fungal infections and the like, but that is nothing compared to the accumulating toxic brew we ingest continously on a daily basis with so called conventional foods.
Also, contrast raw milk facilities with pasteurized milk facilities. Raw milk facilities are maintained to higher standards of cleanliness in order to keep the weekly bacterial counts down. The pasteurized milk facilities slide on some cleanliness standards because they rely on pasteurization to get approval by the department of health.
You can’t tell me an organic free range chicken is a bigger health threat than the typical Tyson or Purdue chicken that gets “washed” in that salmonella-rich broth in the processing plant. Puhleeeze.
When you’re dealing with frozen food, your only sure bet is to stick with stuff that comes off the yellow truck....
