I dont support McCain and I’m a RINO? What a complete tool. McCain voted against tax cuts, supports liberal judges (Alito is “too conservative”), supports limits on free speech, and would make 20 - 30 million illegals citizens, supported by your tax dollars. Captain Queeg does not represent my views. He would make a great Democrat nominee! I wont vote for him. I would vote for Obama as a way to punish the GOP elite that forced Captain Queeg on us. The GOP abandoned me for I left it.

It stands for "Republican In Name Only," an appellation that self-styled conservative purists apply to any Republican who disagrees with them about anything Odd isn't it?
When we stand our principals, we are "Self-styled Conservative purists".
When they agree 60-70-80% of the time with Democrats and stab us in the back politically time after time after time, they are "independent thinkers, mavericks, moderates".
Absurd for people who have never had any loyalty at all to the GOP to now scream bile at us about how we have to be loyal to them.

Teddy Roosevelt and Dwight Eisenhower were good Republicans, but they were conservatives by contemporary measures. Hell, Kennedy would just be a RINO now.

The logic of the conservative RINOs is puzzling. If they sit out the election as they threaten, one of two things will happen: Either a Democrat will win the election, or Mr. McCain will win without their support. Because they have an exaggerated sense of both their numbers and their worth, the RINO conservatives assume the first is what will happen. But it might not.
"RINO conservatives"...That's the problem with insult slinging. It's dumb.

"it assumes that being conservative and being Republican are identical"
Though it was true, by and large, for much of my lifetime, I've stopped making this assumption myself. Now ... I vote "conservative" and the Republicans (RINO's or not) who have a problem with that can either get on-board with the conservative base or pound sand. The choice is theirs.

The epithet is ridiculous, because it assumes that being conservative and being Republican are identical. Well, I'm just going to be a conservative "maverick" and not vote the Republican party line. Hey, it was good enough for McAmnesty!
Take a hike, Jack. Conservatives don't need to be lectured by a RINO.

Yea or they just start competing for the liberal vote and we all have to pound sand. Which do you think the beltway crowd is apt to do?
