This is another free media opportunity for phony Hillary. Her baloney about being a mom first and politician second rings awfully hollow when her reprobate husband was performing a penile tonsillectomy on a kid who is several years younger than Chelsea is today. Hillary willingly and aggressively participated in his lie for months and was very much a part of the effort to help him with her VRWC joke and stood quietly while his gang destroyed that 22 year old kid’s life.

Just on Super Tuesday there were reports that Chelsea was campaigning illegally near a voting precinct. She is not an innocent child, but an active participant in the most ruthless, unscrupulous political “family” of the last 20 years. Shuster’s comments are par for the course at MSNBC and were rude and unprofessional, but not worthy of such a strong backlash.

The Left and especially the Clintons have re-defined ‘nasty’ so far down that the comment was practically a compliment.

“Using” their daughter is exactly what they are doing. To “use” someone for your own personal gain because you have some tangential control over them is ‘pimping’ whether it is for sex or whether you are ‘race pimping’ for a cause or whether you are using your child because A. it reminds people that you are a mother, and we all know that this world would be much better if it were led by mothers and grandmothers (as Pelosi has stated), and B. trying to sucker the youth vote with a 28-year old.

We need to learn the art of political warfare. Being polite when they are handing you your head on a plate does no one any good.

It's one thing to ask her questions, and to be rough on her for not answering questions, if she's been inserted into the campaign (remember that in the 2 earlier Clinton campaigns they kept Chelsea out of them). I wonder what the people who are laughing here would have said had a reporter said the same thing about the Bush daughters, who WERE campaigning for their dad...

It's another when a not-involved-in-politics, independent-working-girl starts working behind the scenes phoning her 3 new BFFs on The View into supportimg her mom. Interestingly, even though they were already for Hillary, they stll saw through the phoniness of the appeal,

Chelsea Clinton called Joy Behar last night because she knew that Joy said that she was on the fence. Joy told her that she has been a champion for her mom for a long time. Then Chelsea called both Whoopi and Sherri as well to convince them to vote for her mom. Sherri told Chelsea that she already voted awhile ago (by absentee) and Whoopi told Chelsea that she had a lot of people call her about her mistake so she didn’t need anymore influence. Elisabeth didn’t get a call from Chelsea and Joy said that she knew she was a “lost cause.”

How it really went down

JOY BEHAR: Well, I said yesterday that I was going to decide who I was going to vote for, so when I got into the booth, I did. But then I went home and the phone rings. I was speaking to you, then I hung up and the phone rings. And who is it? "Hi, this is Chelsea Clinton." So I said "really?" [laughter] I said "the real Chelsea Clinton?" First I thought it was a prank. Then she said "no it’s Chelsea Clinton and I understand that you are on the fence about who to vote for..bah, bah, bah." And I said "oh Chelsea, nice to hear from you. I want you to know that I’ve been a big champion of your mother’s for many moons on ‘The View’ and so don’t worry about it. You know." And then she says, "okay thank you." And then I get a call from you five minutes later.

GOLDBERG: Yeah, five minutes later, "ring ring." "Hello!" "Hi this is Chelsea Clinton." [laughter] I said "look, Chelsea, I got all of the information, 500 people sent me information to show me the error of my ways. Tell your mother I rectified it and I will talk about it on ‘The View.’" And that’s what I’ve done.

SHERRI SHEPHERD: I was sitting at my computer and the phone rings and it was like "Hi, this is Chelsea Clinton." [laughter] And me, I was like "hey girl!" [laughter] "What ya doin’ Chelsea?" And she was like "we saw, we saw, we watched ‘The View’ and we saw that you were a little undecided." I was like "no girl, I put in my vote a long time ago. I’m good. What ya doin’ now?" And she was like "well, I’m really proud of my mom." I was like "talk up! I can’t hear you!"

BEHAR: Well, you probably made her deaf.

ELISABETH HASSELBECK: And then my phone rang.

GOLDBERG: Yes, who was it?

HASSELBECK: "Ring, ring!" "Hi it’s Mom, not Chelsea."

BEHAR: Your mother.

BEHAR: She knows that you’re a lost cause on the Hillary thing. She knows you’re not going to vote for her mother.
