You heard it here first from Rush Limbaugh: When John McCain is defeated in November, the Republican Party's RINO establishment is set to blame the conservative base for the inevitable debacle.

It’s been over a decade in the making. Has be been in a COMA? The Conservative GOP was no more by late 1995. The RINO’s controlled it as far back as then.

God bless Rush and I could care less what the RNC thinks. My wonderful Republican party has way too many rino's and the ones in leadership of the RNC lead the way.

The RNC will learn one day there are many of us lifetime Republicans that have had it with being thrown rino's to vote for.

Give us conservatives or forgetaboutit.

Is it possible to re-take the Republican Party or it it time to start a smaller-tent Conservative Party? “Shut up and do what you’re told” doesn’t seem to be a viable alternative.

They are like children sitting in the marketplace, and speaking one to another, and saying: We have piped to you, and you have not danced: we have mourned, and you have not wept. Lk 7:32

Conservatives are looking like a bunch of finger-pointing-temper-tantrum-throwing-doom-saying-dystopian crybabies who want to pack up their toys and go home because the rest of the world isn't playing by their rules. Anything that is wrong with the Republican party, the country, the world--that isn't our fault. Everything would be ice cream and chocolate cake if only they would listen to us true and undefiled conservatives. Downright embarrassing.

Conservatives need to take a look hard look in the mirror, then regroup and frankly face the political realities of a changing electorate and respond by lighting a fire instead of cursing the darkness. Vast swaths of the voting public simply aren't buying the product anymore. The forward-looking, hopeful, optimistic and positive brand of Reagan conservatism is being drowned out by the cacophony of talk radio rage that My Way or the Highway Conservatism is broadcasting.

And to think that Rush used to contrast the cheery optimism of the Right while mocking the Left for their dour and angry world view.

Yeah, they can blame us come November. But that won’t put them back in power in ‘10.

I spit them out of my mouth.

My marker is that I will work to defeat John McCain and those that stand with him. I wish for him the most humilating lopsided defeat in history. And for the dem victor that we are almost assuredly guarenteed now, I wish them the lowest turnout in years just to assure them their victory is a consequence of mcCain not their message gaining acceptance.

Liars and phonies advising Maverick how to lie about who he is to fool us that he is a conservative can join him in hell, I’m not following.

And, Well said Rush.

How in the world can conservatives who have stayed loyal to conservative principles and concepts, be blamed for what's happened to the Republican Party? The people that have made the mess of the Republican Party are those who have attempted to expand it by including liberals and independents and Democrats so as to marginalize conservatives. And all of a sudden it's our fault. No, sir!

Ah yes. We've seen it trotted out already: "When Hillarycare comes to pass, it'll be all YOUR fault for not voting McCain."

NO SIR INDEED. God Bless Rush Limbaugh.

Good, I want them to know that we are the power. I hope it makes them shutter when the see the scope of their defeat. Seems to be the only way to get their attention.

If the Republicans lose this Nov., the fault will land squarely on the shoulders of Rush and the other talk radio hacks.

They tried selling us a fraud, while passing over true conservatives like Fred and Huckabee. Romney is not a conservative in any definition of the word. He's a absolute fraud. A fifth grader could figure that out.

Think about it, they convinced a good percentage of Americans, that a man, who is as liberal as Hillary, is actually a conservative. The amount of power they hold is very scary.

Make no mistake about, these hacks were shilling for Myth Romney from the beginning, and they almost succeeded.

Too, trying to teach McCain how to sound conservative is not unlike Al Gore hiring someone to teach him how to appear manly.

That McCain needs instruction in sounding conservative is all one needs to know. It means he doesn’t have a clue.

Rush advocated Romney and Romney is not a conservative.

He’s a demogue with a bit of speaking ability, a bit of good looks, and a bundle of money.

When he needs to be a liberal, he’s a liberal. When he needs to be a conservative, he’s a conservative.

Blame blame blame.

So freaking weak, Rush.

The one element of truth in the article is where he says he didn't create it, it is real and out there, it can't be switched on or off.

The rest, the claim that republicans are "insisting" or "demanding" that conservatives follow, is simply made up. Conservatives are invited to support McCain as better than the dems on conservative issues. Which he is. If they choose not to, such is life. Everyone involved is a free adult and can decide for themselves where their duty lies.

Personally it is obvious to me that conservatives are blaming the messenger, and the real issue is the loss of their power.

Well, I don't care about the loss of your power, no reason why I should. I care about what is better for the country, and to me that is clear. It is to pick a hawk in time of war over any cut and run democrat.

That I'd like more is as immaterial as the fact that I'd like peace on earth to all men of good will.

As for the comment about Obama, it will be easy - McCain will just run against Ahmadinejad and make him Obama's running mate.

I don’t recall Ronald Reagan using, or implying, the term “RHINO.”

And he did not talk tripe - and print it as some great proclamation as from a king.

Reagan was not exclusionary.

He did not think that, in vanity of vanity, he was somehow granted sacred power to look into the hearts and minds of the Lord’s creatures - and for him, Reagan, to declare them somehow unfit because he, Reagan, somehow so declared.

Reagan had a special quality that many, many people - including those on this site and off it - have sadly forgotten.

The guiding premise of Ronald Reagan was: love for his fellow human. Reagan was, himself, loved but for one reason: he loved all he met and he surely wanted freedom and liberty for everyone.

Reagan never put people down. And he surely never slandered them.

Rush has some blame coming his way as well. If he had bothered to lift a finger to help Hunter, the campaign could have gathered momentum. Lots of conservatives wussed out this time around.
