What exactly makes Hillary or Obama worse than Mccain?

They’re both dedicated socialists and will surrender in the War on Terror.

Anything else, Mrs Lincoln?

I respect and can speak politely of those fellow Freepers who have decided to vote for McCain.

Please don't ask me to speak politely of McCain himself, however. That's asking too much.

Started on Fox right after his speech ended.

Unfreakin’believable!

‘Delay was at the speech and said the room was full of young McCain supporters waving signs. It was a set-up!”

this is exactly what I said on the CPAC thread at the time. I hope this storyline gets lots of play and continue to point out Mccain’s zero support among conservative.

Go Delay!

It is looking more and more that I may go the Ron Paul route myself. It would not suprise me if he ends up going independent down the road.

“I’ll be voting for McCain in November, but can we please agree that those who decide they cannot vote McCain should be respected for their decision as well?”

Um no, if obama or clinton win....absolutely not.
and will never forgive eithter.

I intend to nominate judges who have proven themselves worthy of our trust that they take as their sole responsibility the enforcement of laws made by the people's elected representatives

He must have misspoken here.

Yes, by all means. Unless they let HillBama win.

*shrug*

I would not have voted for Rudy or Romney.

People should follow their conscience.

“And I won’t let a Democratic Congress raise your taxes and choke the growth of our economy....”

Ugh, he’s conceding the point. The House should be at least in play???

He didn’t even mention immigration, this was a “vote for me” speech, not a unifying one.

Good catch. He’s also Mr Gang-of-14, and if action foloows history, he will defer to the 60 vote consensus, without asserting that nominees deserve to pass if a simple majority of senators approve.

Best way for McCain to heal the breach with Conservatives is for him to go fight a big messy battle with Senate Democrats on spending or something to show he actually means what he says. He has time to do that while Hillary/Obama continue slugging it out.

Words are not enough. McCain’s record is against him. He needs to put up some solid deeds to match his rhetoric

Good speech.

So why did he boycott last year's convention?

Remember what Romney said a couple of weeks ago: “He’ll say anything to get elected president” (paraphrase if not quoted accurately, although it’s very close).

Trust McCain when he picks Thompson, Hunter, or Newt for VP.
Not before.

What a great country to live in 100 years from now when our troops are still protecting Iraq and our own country is bankrupt and overrun with illegal alien rapists, murders, drug addicts, gang bangers, and general layabouts.

The disenfrancisement of Republicans by the GOP elites just goes on and on.

Where did you get that about Delay?

I heard the speech and, though I can't find it in the printed version, I heard him say that those who were not his supporters were "WELCOME TO JOIN" him. He must have added that at the last minute.

I thought that statement came across as arrogant. I.E. he did not ASK that others join him. Sort of, "I'm not going to bother asking or reaching out for your support, but if you are as desperate as I think you are, you are welcome to join me - but I really don't need you." Did anyone else hear the "welcome to join" statement?

All I ask of any American, conservative, moderate, independent, or enlightened Democrat, is to judge my record as a whole

Yea, an ASS WHOLE!
