OK ... what's in Nebraska? Water. One of the countries largest natural aquifers runs under Nebraska, relatively close to the surface in some areas.

A goodly chunk of that New Mexico acreage is next to Philmont Scout Reservation. Perhaps he could be persuaded to donate that acreage to the BSA when he’s done with it.
