I'm not sure that I would give up Virginia that easily...

What in the world is she doing? Yes it is going to be hard to get those areas, but she is giving up??? I don’t understand that thinking. She is giving the Presidency to Obama basically and when that happens we are seriously in trouble!!! Obama must not be the nominee. We can beat the heck out of Hillary but I am not convinced that we can beat Obama mania.

I just heard on WMAL’s morning show saying that Hillary will concentrate on visiting the “outer suburbs”, like Prince William Co., Stafford, etc. and Southwestern Va. (there has been a lot of unemployment there), and that’s it. Why is she giving up the state so easily? Could it be because of her fundraising woes?

She doesn’t have Hsu or Trie to help her out anymore...

She wouldn’t give up if she had a chance.

Do you suppose she hired someone from the Guiliani campaign to advise her?

I know Loyal, but it’s just an outright “defeat”. I can see DC going for Obama, and MD perhaps (even though our Governor O’Malley is a Clinton supporter), but to give up in VA a week prior to the primary - it’s just amazing to me. Things must be really going downhill for her.

I hope you are right, but with conservatives not voting for John McCain and the Democrats energized do you think you are right?

Nor am I. I think Romney could beat Obama but McCain might be tricky. I think McCain would have crushed Hillary though.

People like you are living in Oz if you think McCain can beat Hillary. Everything we don’t know about the Keating Five will be released. And all she has to do is continually play the video soundbite where that fool McCain said she would make a fine, strong President. An endorsement from an opponent.

LOL! No.

IMO, the GOP could have Jesus heading the ticket and He would lose.

OTOH, whichever RAT wins this November...will only be serving ONE term. Presidents can't control economies. They can only make matters worse when they intervene.

The Clintons have managed to pit poor whites and Hispanics against the black guy.

You obviously are more up on Virginia than I. My comment was generally one that she wouldn't give up unless she was certain she couldn't win. Maybe your assessment of her having troubles, possbily money-related, is on point.

Maybe her conceding was the result of her having to "make tough choices" that she has "learned over her 35 years of serving the people" and she did it "for the common good" of "women and children" who she has "listened to" while "visiting in the homes" of "people who the sytem has neglected" under the evil George Bush.

No biggie, she’ll promise them all sorts of high paying jobs like she did in NY. The suckers will fall for it like her backers in NY. What does a chicken plucker make these days? sarc.

Relax with your post man, not everything has to be argumentative. You do make a great point however with the McCain quote. Romney should run with that.

I wonder if this is another “lowering expectations” ploy by the Clinton camp?

Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!

That's too funny! I'm from Southwestern Virginia and I'm sorry to tell Hillary that she's mostly despised there as a she-witch, even though the region IS heavily democratic, through the United Mine Workers Association and Roosevelt's New Deal efforts there back in the 1930s. My granddaddy and my dad both worship Roosevelt, but my dad has nothing but contempt for the Clintons. Hillary is going to get an extremely cold reception, unless some of the lib professors at the local colleges and at Virginia Tech compel their students to show up at her appearances to "support" her and get their grades for the day.

I find Hillary's belief that she's going to find real support in Southwestern Virginia laughable!

I apologize. But you’re right concerning Romney. Someone on another post said that Romney needs to come out nuclear on McCain.

Good Morning, Ridge... I was chuckling at that comment too (straight from the lips of Bill Thompson, WMAL morning news person... Andy is off this week and Nehman is taking over his duties...)

Have a great day!
