Romney won the first vote. Then the collusion kicked in and Huckabee came out with 18 delegates and Romney received 12 delegates. The Huckabeans must be delirious. Huckabee himself must expect the VP slot. Oh, the tension.

Romney won on the first vote though. Most state caucuses for the GOP are straight votes. That will tend to favor Romney I think.
This says alot more about McCain’s weakness in the hardcore GOP than it does anything.

This has been going on for years in all caucuses - it is business as usual. I find it hard to believe anyone is surpirsed that McCain would throw his support to Huckabee. Would they not have kept voting until someone was over 50%?
In 1988 at my caucus site in Iowa, the DuPont voters teamed up with Dole to keep Robertson from winning our precinct. Very common in politics.

The only losers are the people of the United States when all these shenanigans make her president.

Give some of us a break. We’ve only now arrived home from work. I was glad to see a thread about this that I could easily find as I’ve been listening to it for several hours.

The American people will have good reason to cry in November when Hillary is elected after she castrates a decrepit, miserable old man..

I believe you are right. Also, Romney can show what grit he may have and gut it out. He can say, “That’s ok, 2 on 1, I’ll take those odds with those 2.” Why not?

So, let’s look at this again. Huckabee gave Paul 3 delegates so that Paul would help Huckabee get over 50%. So Huckabee really only has 15 delegates, Romney has 12 and Paul has 3. What an embarrassment. This sort of immaturity will be the end of us.
To: SkyPilot
I’d just like to point out that the poll on FR has Huckabee standing at 3.7% member support.
To: isrul
A vote for Huckabee is a waste.
