Sorry, Romney was a liberal for 35+ years of public life.

The man is on video pushing abortion just a few years ago, favors gun control (even now), nominated radical gay judges, pushed for gay Boy Scout leaders, instituted a socialized healthcare program with $50 abortions, etc.

Why is he a conservative? Because he joined the NRA two weeks before running for office?

Sorry, Myth is a transparent fake.

So what is the objective here?

Do we split the vote between the lesser of two evils or do we spread the delegates out so far that none of them have enough to win on the first ballot at the convention?

I would think that strategy would be more beneficial to those of us conservatives that can't see voting for anyone that is left in the race.

I voted for Fred in Jan and will write him in when I vote in Nov.

There is nothing that would ever get me to vote for Willard or McCrazy.

Nope. It's like when a loved one or family member dies or rejects the family. One learns to go on. For some it takes longer than others; that's all.

It was Fred's considered (I would hope) opinion to leave the race when he did. Judging by the principles he displayed as an individual, I have a problem seeing him cavalierly reentering the race. But, who knows?

I just know that I'll take each day as it comes and make decisions that seem right for me. But the irrevocable decisions I've made this campaign season I've already remarked on; NO to McCain, Huckabee and Paul.

Sorry, voting for a RINO becuase he’s not quite as big of a RINO as the other guy (a debateable point) is not smart.

I don’t think you get it: I don’t care if McInsane wins; he is no worse than Myth -— both are amoral losers with no moral compass -— both equally foul.

The only thing left for conservatives to do is revolt.

Fred had his run, and couldn’t get it in gear.

There is no more adamant FredHead on FR, but, for conservatives, the battle now is with the MSM.

If McCain is nominated, we will be relegated to marginal fringe status by the elites, the MSM and the pundits.

I voted for Romney this morning. If Fred had stayed in, as he should have, I would have voted for him.

We’re not just losing a battle here. We could be losing the war.

I think we as conservatives have to move on. I like Fred, if there is a open convention fine, but Fred ran a horrible campaign and could not finish.

I don’t remember his name. I think he was some kind of publicist, but when Lacy took over the campaign, the Fox guy was out. I think those who sabotaged the campaign over the issue, instead of just resigning, are disgusting.

Not here in Illinois. It would be meaningless. I'm going for Romney today. But if Fred does well in Tennessee I'll reconsider him. But I have to say, I am disappointed in the way he ran his campaign, and will have to think long and hard before I change back. Once burned, and all that. He's right on the issues, but wrong on tactics.

I think that's a wise decision. Fred did somehow bungle his campaign...I loved his position papers, his refusal to play stupid games, but unfortunately he didn't seem to like to campaign - not that I blame him. I remember the saying that by the time a man gets elected to be President he no longer deserves to be President. I think Fred just didn't want to sell his soul.
