Just heard Rooty is going to back McCain..bet McCain selects him as VP. And if it is McC vs Billary....I”ll be tempted to vote local issues and may vote by holding my nose..I hate this cycle.

I believe you’ll find that prior to today, Romney had 59, Huckabee 40 and McCain 36. I didn’t hear Huckabee’s statement, but if it was about his position going into Florida, he wasn’t lying. You guys have got to get over Thompson’s defeat and start to evaluate Huckabee honestly.
Super Tuesday is going to surprise a few people, I think.

Nice try. Put another way, Huckabee nearly tied the presumptive leader who pinned all his hopes on winning, yes WINNING, Florida and he did it while spending peanuts compared to Giuliani.
Meanwhile, Huckabee is leading in polls in several states and comes in second nationally in four of the last six polls on RealClearPolitics.com
I believe we will see a three-way, open convention and that Huckabee will have a respectable number of delegates. Those of you who are upset with the choices (including Huckabee) and want a wide open convention would be best served by voting Huckabee. Otherwise, either Romney or McCain are going to be the nominee.
While I actually want Huckabee to end up being the Republican nominee, a good case can be made that the best route to an open convention rests on getting Huckabee as many delegates as possible. I can’t stomach McCain and I don’t trust Romney, and would vote for Huckabee even if I didn’t like him as that is the only way I can see to avoid getting saddled with either McCain or Romney.
After all, at a deadlocked convention, it would at least be possible to nominate a Gingrich, Hunter, Thompson, etc.

Yes, Huckabee lost to the guy who is WITHDRAWING tomorrow because he has not a hope of getting the nomination. MAYBE HUCK SHOULD TAKE THE HINT.

I believe you are smoking crack. AN open convention is not at all to be desired since it will NOT produce some fine conservative candidate ...

I’ve repeated said that is what Huckabee is trying to do. AND I AM TELLING YOU THAT IT WOULD BE A DISASTER FOR CONSERVATIVES.
For conservatives to sell their votes to a non-conservative Huckster who in turn will help seal it for the pro-amnesty RINO is a bad bad move.

I agree. But I’d go one further: We must NEVER not vote. Even if we have a screaming liberal on the ticket come November, we have to pull that lever. Oh, not for the liberal. But it’s our duty, especially being politically aware as most of us are, to make our voice heard in America. Even if it’s for the Constitution Party, or the Libertarians, or the Kinky Afro Cult. Parties notice when they start bleeding supporters. Just look at what happened to the Dems after they realized they were losing liberals to the Green party.
There is no way to win with McCain. He is the anti-conservative he will enact everything Hillary or Obama will especially massive amnesty for illegals. So whether mccain wins or loses we get the democRATS fondest dreams enacted if mccain is the nominee.
he’s not going to cut and run from iraq. That’s the one thing I care about now that the NARAL Rudy is out...there are muslims all around the world who want to kill us and will have a big party if hillary or obama were to win.
This may come as a total shock to many McCain supporters, but have any of you ever heard of the term "principles"? I won't vote for a liberal RINO under ANY circumstances. And when McCain gets clobbered in November, remember that you were warned by millions of conservatives.

Not sure why there would be a difference.
My feelings about Huckabee don't have anything to do with Thompson. I just seems like Huckabee is two-faced to me. He lost me when he claimed that he didn't want to do any negative campaigning, but pulled the "let me show the press the ad I'm too noble to run" against Romney.
Is there something in the water pipes or HVAC system of the Arkansas Governor's Mansion that poisons neurons in the ethical center of the brain, or what?
Real Clear Politics has a breakdown of the delegates. According to them, he won 30 in IA alone and picked up one to five in four additional primaries, giving him a total of 40 and putting him in second place prior to Florida. If the 30 is right, then CNN is wrong. I don’t know if the 30 is correct.
After last night’s debate, he’s now McInsane.
Dementia is already setting in.
I’m an indy for Romney. McCain blew it last night.
Keep hope alive. Get out there and vote for Mitt on Tuesday. It’s our last best chance to avoid a choice of two flat-out liberals in November.
