Trust me — the Bush haters on FreeRepublic will be crying the blues in one year, when Hillary or Osama give the SOTU address. They’ll be missing George and Laura big time. They outclass any candidate currently running for President by a landslide. The only GOP candidate I could stomach to LOOK AT is Romney, but he’s as liberal as they come with policies and governing, so he’s the same as having any of the Dems in there, as far as I’m concerned.
We’re saying goodbye to the last “class act” ever in the White House. I shudder to think of the possibility of the Clintons back in power. Unbelievable that Hillary could actually get THIS far already. Sickening...repulsive.
I have to go throw up now. I said her name. It happens..
Amen
I’m convinced by you. Just because I disagree with Bush so much, I should, I am just a whiner. Just because he won, he must be “sainted.”
Why is it that if we disagree with RINOS, we must be accused of supporting the liberals?
I will take my pill and calm down and just drink the kool-aid...must remember not to think for myself. There, that’s better.
Don’t forget, he screwed up the SC nomination. He had to be forced to fix it. Please never forget when he was elected we held both Houses. He lost them for us, and gave America to mexico. He IS the worse POTUS in our history.
“We?” Oh, no, I think that’s above even my considerable drinking experience level.
AMEN
I can’t believe you just posted that here
BUMP.
Like most of FR, this thread has been and will continue to be co-opted by a noxious group of Paulites, Buchananites, paleocons, libertarians, ‘tin foil hat’ conspiracy nuts, one-issue purists, BDS sufferers, and leftist/DNC infiltrators — KOS wannabes all!
[Hey Noonan: You and the cabal identified above are as wrong about President George W Bush as you were about Ronald Reagan:
THE BATTLE FOR THE MIND OF RONALD REAGAN WAS LIKE THE TRENCH WARFARE OF WORLD WAR I: NEVER HAVE SO MANY FOUGHT SO HARD FOR SUCH BARREN TERRAIN Peggy Noonan]

THE LEGACY OF PRESIDENT GEORGE W BUSH IS SECURE:
All soldiers say MR. PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSH IS THE HERO MAN IN THE WORLD, Abbas told us in fractured English. “He’s fighting on behalf of hte world, not just Iraq. Mr. President Bush is fighting on behalf of humanity. America was the only country in the world that decided to help the people of Iraq. Under Saddam we had a very black future. We had no refrigerators, no electricity. We lived like the cow. Now we have a future.

And his accomplishments are many:
THE ESSENTIAL PRESIDENT BUSH
The Anchoress
A much-esteemed, long-neglected friend sent an email this morning, which was delightful to recieve. At one point he mentioned this post from yesterday and wrote: I think (President Bush) has lost his bearings. but then, so did Moses from time to time, its quite understandable.
That made me wonder a little - has President Bush lost his bearings, or have we? Is it President Bush who has broken faith with his base or have they?
When I read my friends line, I thought of a line from Pride and Prejudice, in which Elizabeth Bennett says in new appreciation of Mr. Darcy, In essentials, I believe, he is very much what he ever was.
Perhaps I am a dim bulb, but President Bush has never surprised me, and that is probably why I have never felt let down or betrayed by him. He is, in essentials, precisely who he has ever been. He did not surprise me when he managed, in August of 2001, to find a morally workable solution in the matter of Embryonic Stem Cells. He did not surprise me when, a month later, he stood on a pile of rubble and lifted a broken city from its knees. When my FDNY friends told me of the enormous consolation and strength he brought to his meetings with grieving families, I was not surprised. When the World Series opened in New York City and the President was invited to throw the first pitch, there was no surprise in his throwing (while wearing body armor) a perfect strike.

I plan to enjoy the President’s SOTU with a large group of supporters who recognize George W Bush for the courageous, visionary leader he is . . . If you want to ‘get directions’ to the party, freep mail me.
it has been rather pathological at FR
I hope we can restore order before the election
I fail to see how the 2006 abdication did any good
Yes... Love you President Bush, Good luck with your speech
Have some, seems like quite a few have had some already.
Thank friend of a friend. :)
STop reading my mind!
(I'll take the drink on the right)
God Bless You, Mr. President. And Thank YOu
Dims are bullies. They want THEIR way, no matter what. Libs think they know best - for everyone. They want to control our food, when and what we eat and exercise, smoking (NO), drinking, etc.
How do you 'stay' united with people like that? I personally don't think the dim/libs were EVER united - they just pretended when they thought they had to.
great post
Cherry, the taste that refreshes!
I know 2: Pelosi and Climate Change.
Oh Puleaze! I stubbed my toe last week, was that Bush’s fault too?
Must be a full moon out tonight;)
