including $300 to those who make so little money that they don't pay taxes....

That one puzzles me.

And just think it was posted here last night that the rino's had said no free money. LOL, That lasted less than twelve hours. What a back bone.

This is such crap if you are a single person who makes more than $87K. I’m by no means a wealthy individual, yet I get nothing? Yeah, that’s fair. /sarc

Maybe I need to pop out a couple of illegitimate kids.

Had I realized that, my search on FR probably would have gotten more results (I copy and pasted from the headline into the search window).

On the radio they said no money for households making over 150k.

I worked a ton of overtime last year to save for my daughter’s college fund. So I don’t deserve a rebate.

I wish they had reduced the pay-roll tax.

Helps both business and the workers.

Workers who make at least $3,000 but don't pay taxes would get $300 rebates.

So they're getting tax rebates on taxes they never paid.

Have I said lately how much I loathe politicians?

I’m with you. I get jack squat on this deal. I guess this is my reward for not flunking out of school like so many of the losers who went to school with me.

Now there’s an idea I can get behind! But it will never happen with a Democratic congress. They’re all about taking our money away from us to give to people who can’t get off their lazy butts.

Welcome to America...we reward incompetence. Like you, I’m glad that I busted my butt through 5-1/2 years of college and 6 years of 60+ work weeks so that the government can reward someone who pays no taxes.

I think this applies to our family...
There are some who will get it (and probably shouldn’t) like our family.
We pay taxes and make over $50,000 per year.
We get ALL OF IT back though, at the end of the year because of deductions.

(don’t ask why we don’t keep all of it to start with....big chunk of our income is bonus based which is NOT completely dependable and we do not want to OWE at the end of the year....so, yes, I take the 4% (at most) loss on about 4K each year...)

“”but I do know that it will help stimulate the economy. But if it does not, then there will be more to come,” Pelosi said.””

She KNOWS it will help BUT IF IT DOESN’T????? As much as she KNOWS about anything in her job! AND more to come? MORE what? $$$ from ??? No words can describe this whole farce.

Democrat majority leader Tom Daschle said it was only enough to buy a muffler. Now the Democrats are saying this will save the US economy muffler industry .

Man, don't you talk about "working" families like that! Those are ALL HARD-WORKING citizens who have just ended up on the wrong side of the tracks because of life's lottery!

It ain't their fault that they dropped out of high school to party and hang out. Now they're scramblin' for a job at Micky D's to try and pay for their girlfriend's abortion and get a couple of pints of brew and some Marlboros!

Cut 'em some slack... Jeez!! It's ONLY YOUR money they're givin' em!

Great I'll take it. It's my money anyway. If I'm not likely to see all that I put into SS, then I want it back now in anyway I can.

If government wants to downscale and budget better, I'll be more encouraged to let them use my money, but until then, f*ck 'em.

Not arguing that there ARE CERTAINLY people like that...
However, our family works hard...and pays no federal taxes (after deductions etc...)
I always point that out when people talk about MORE TAX BREAKS for the working poor..

We own both our cars (not new ones)...have a regular house and a big Mortgage (no, not a weird one...just a regular 30 year)...
It’s not that I am saying that people(like us) who end up paying no federal taxes SHOULD get this rebate...just wanting to interject that there are some families like ours who work hard...(both of us)...own homes...own cars...and certainly didn’t drop out (to party or for any other reason)

:-)

Remember when we all voted Republican because we thought that Jimmy Carter’s “thousand dollars for everybody” proposal was the silliest thing we had ever heard?
