I have no idea who will protect it. Hopefully someone will. Its my guess that we will have to force the issue on whichever candidate makes it.

If the John McCain of 2000 were running, I’d probably be for him.

But since then, it’s been campaign finance reform, the Gang of 14, immigration reform, etc.

In a general election, McCain may attract independent voters but he’ll also not exactly enthuse the conservative base to get out and vote for him.

if McCain can be sharp for a hard fought campaign

Democrat Majority Press is sure he is not, so they promote him all they can. McDole also lost the last Republican primary to Bush, kinda like Kerry or Gore trying to make a comeback.

If Obama is in the race, there will be lots of new voters.

If you ever again suggest or imply anything that could lead to the though of Hillary being naked, I’ll report you for abuse! :)

Gives something for Limbaugh to talk about tomorrow, if his voice is able to speak. This is good entertainment. Lots of it makes little sense but it is fun to watch sometimes.
Sometimes it makes us a bit sick!

The Drive-By Media won't let him. They'll concentrate on how old he is, how grouchy he can be, they'll play up every one of his gaffes, no matter how slight, and just generally paint him as elderly and unstable. He won't get a word in edgewise. That's what they do to Republicans. They want a repeat of Bob Dole in '96.

Look, first go back and review the Bob Dole v. Bill Clinton race (it's on Wiki). Dole lost but he still prevented Clinton from winning a 51 percent majority and the Republicans at least were able to keep some control of both Houses of Congress. If Romney gets the GOP nod to head the ticket he's going to lose like Goldwater did and EVERYTHING you fear will happen will happen (liberal judges, end of war on Islamic jihad, high taxes, mandatory health care, plus a fairness doctrine that will probably extend to this very web site...so, go ahead you MittWitted Romulans back your boy and watch us all go to hell!

Thanks. Let’s not forget what Hillary said tonight - she wants to remove every troop from Iraq and also dismantle every American base in the country. Think about that for a moment. Imho, that strategy would be disastrous on several levels.

Not a MittWitt. I’m a FredHead.

Well, FRed--bless his heart--has the electability of a cheese sandwich so you better pick someone else.

I don’t know about that.

Obama promised me some money... some good money... some, you know, walkin’ around money, and if you people have to come up with it, well, that’s just how it’s got to be.

Don’t forget since 2000, McCain had talks with Kerry in ‘04 about possibly becoming his VP.

I just got here. They were definitely running against McCain, weren’t they. That’s kinda like Green Bay preparing for the Cowboys.
