Every Rupee, every Euro, every Yen, every Yuan, every Pound, every Won, Ringet, Piso and Dollar currently coming out of markets around the world, is going to go somewhere, soon.

I agree there is going to be a vicious rally but believe it will be just a bear market rally - not a change in trend. But the U.S. Dollar appears headed back to 80 even without this.
I was working in downtown San Francisco then. I remember that day very well.
I still have the Wall St Journal articles that tell how the whole financial system was very close to melting down that day.
I remember it well also... I was on a flight from DC to Seattle and the pilot kept announcing the Dow drops... hundred by hundred!
There were people practically fighting over the Flite Phones, vainly trying to get through to their brokers!
Just DON"T join the herd selling (although, if you are on margin..., my sympathies...)

I was walking through the San Diego financial district or what there was of it then. Stockbroker’s jowls dragging along the sidewalk.
