You're brain dead to believe either statement.
RCP's average of the polls show him 22% behind Obama and 12% behind Hillary.
And, there isn't a candidate in the race with a more liberal record than Romney.
If you are going to write in someone who isn’t running for President (as I can guarantee you Fred Thompson will NOT be doing if he doesn’t win our nomination), why not write in Ronald Reagan? He’s not running either but he’s a true conservative in the mold of Ronald Reagan, and has as much change of winning as anybody else you write in.
Rush didn't get where he is by hitching his wagon to someone else.
I don't care if Joseph Smith himself endorsed that slick liberal from Taxachussetts, he is going nowhere.
That list will be really helpful to you.
There*s good reason Massachusetts is called *People*s Republik of* - strange that people who say they are conservative would vote for a man who has changed time and again on RKBA, abortion, homosexuals in the military and in the Boy Scouts; what excuses will they make up for him?
No offense but Anne ain’t gonna cut it with me. She’s her best criticising others, not leading. She’d be the first to say that. She is way too abrasive and too political.
As for Rush, it’s not up to him to take down or make king anyone in the Republican party. If they can’t on their own get people behind them without someone else propping them up, then it ain’t real. I know what you’re feeling because Thompson is my choice, but it’s not Rush’s job to get him elected.
This may be the downfall of some of the talk guys & gals, carried away with their success and blinded by the glamour of extremely rich, goodlooking Willard. I doubt Rush will go with them, he*s too smart, although right now I wonder as I think of the astounding endorsements of the last few months of various people.
I think Rush prefers Fred but his 2nd choice is Mitt. I agree.
You put too much faith on the entertainment industry. What's the deal with you folks and your celebrity endorsements?
I think we have been down this road before. No need to go there again. Good luck.
“Fred could use the boost and Rush could serve to unite the conservatives. Now that Duncan has bowed out Anne Coulter could jump in as well.”
I believe he’s going to stand on the shore and watch Fred drown, then complain that conservatives should have united behind him.
“If McCain or Giuliani wins the nomination, I (and a lot of others) go third party.”
If Giuliani is the nominee, I not only will vote 3rd party, but I’ll convince everyone I know to go with me. I’ll make sure everyone knows every scrap of dirty laundry out of the FR Truth File. I’ll not be complicit in what would happen to the Republican party under a Giuliani administration, and I’ll refuse to pretend to be shocked by Giuliani supreme court nominees like posters here who pretended to be shocked by Bush’s amnesty proposal. When someone has the nerve to say “I think Ginsberg is a good Justice” you better watch out - cuz the only type of person who would ever say something that outlandish is someone who actually MEANS it.
