So... there isn’t any primary source material i.e. directly attributable to Dr. Braun stating these issues? I was sort of hoping something from his autobiography, for example.
Every time we drive down to West Texas (Garden City) to visit my parents we go through Granbury to visit old friends. We always go through stephenville, Brownwood and Ballinger, stopping at Dublin to pick up 10 cases or so of Dr. Pepper, and then stopping in Brownwood to eat at Underwoods.

Stephenville residents are having some fun with their recent reports of UFOs in their fair city. Here, it seems an alien life form has taken over city hall. (That's actually city secretary Cindy Stafford.)

The BBQ is good, but average, What is best about Underwoods are the rolls, cherry cobbler and apple cobbler. I’m getting uncontrollable drools just thinking about it.
And i really like the rolls too
I grew up eating at underwoods in Lubbock. then they put one in Waco and one in Austin for a short time.
Brownwood is the only one left.
