I wish the swirling flakes had come out in the pictures; it only captured the bigger flakes.

Allegra, is this the CID building, Camp Victory? No, that's the dorm building across from mine on our FOB here in central Baghdad.
You at Victory?

It looks beautiful! Enjoy the excitement. Snow fell over L.A. last year briefly too. Maybe Al Gore’s plane was in the shop those days.

Very glad you got to see such a beautiful site. After the snow comes the Spring. May it be a good one for Iraq and the United States! God bless!

We’ve got more snow than you, but yours is infinitely more memorable! Hope all goes well on your new tour of duty!

All the buildings look fairly similar on Victory. Big and Brown....or Small and Brown. Possibly a newer, US built structure which may have been white...but is now brown...
The only bad thing about this snow/rain, is the damned mud.

Just saw a fantastic documentary about our warriors, “Brothers in Arms.” Incredibly moving.

Yes, the mud is awful, isn't it? This is the latest I've seen the mud show up. It usually starts around late November.
Very strange weather this winter.
