I can hardly blame you!
Yep - the same GOP that ignored Tennessee Senate candidate Van Hilleary in the primary last year, in favor of RINO Bob Corker. Were it not for the fact that the democRAT opponent, Ford, was an obvious crook, they'd have lost that seat as well.
It's the party's favorite tactic - run the conservatives out of the party in favor of "liberal lite". And they wonder why so many have given up contributing to the party.
wow. just wow. How sick.
I could make a long list of other good conservatives treated similarly to the one you mention during the “Rove era.”
How about adding the RNC to that list.
Plus when and where is the next debate?
Time for a preemptive strike.
One would be to just go there as an "observer" (wink wink), and then in the opening segment, right smack there in Myrtle Beach, SC, just simply walk on the stage surrounded by decorated military veterans, with all their medals on their suits, (JOINED BY HIS TWO G.O.P. NATIONAL DELEGATES from EASTERN WYOMING) and demand that a 12-term US Congressman will be heard. What could they do? They can put a chair up there at the last moment.
To deny an imposing, finger wagging Congressman backed up by about five pissed off looking veterans from various wars the US has fought, would scare the begeezuz out of the SC GOP.
I bet old Lindsey Graham will be there in the front row with a big, toothy, ear to ear grin when this thing airs. But this kind of thing would wipe that Open Borders Smirk right off his sweet little kisser.
Can it be done?
If they knew something like that was coming, they might also relent and let the Congressman in.
An altered version of this might work as well.
Either way, I think Duncan needs to expand on his *Morning Joe* MSNBC strategy, what does he have to lose? The thing is rigged, so that is when you have to adopt more "resourceful" tactics.
People, private Freepmail if you have ideas. Let us get some brain power going here for Duncan Hunter and South Carolina.
Good idea. Agree with everything you said.
I don’t have any ideas at the moment. In fact, I’m not afraid to admit that I don’t know any gorilla tactics that would be legal. I’m sure there are others that can offer immediate help though. If I come up with something I’ll let you know.
AIT, I have been in such a depressed mood all day with what they’re doing to Congressman Hunter. Then, I read your posts, and it lifts me back up. Is there any way you could leave Tokyo, and come back here and run DH’s campaign? You ROCK!....:-)
that is flattering. i actually have run campaigns before ;-)
Eagles up! This one is coming up, too. On 24 January at 9 p.m. Eastern, and also on MSNBC at the same time. Can some Freepers e mail or call Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL, and see if Congressman Hunter will be included, and if not WHY? We have over two weeks to gear up for this one, too.
The MSM had picked their top three candidates on both sides of the aisle before the first debate. This was evident to me the first time each candidate was alloted to speak. Certain candidates were allowed more questions and responses than others until they were finally eliminated all together from the debates.

Considering Fred missed the first debate, his time would have been slightly higher, but it doesn’t matter, he too will be pushed out in favor of the more liberal Republican candidates.
This country will elect exactly what we deserve.
But I will not be to blame. I will vote for Duncan in the Primaries.
Piss poor analogy. Has Hunter not had the same amount of time (as in all summer, and even back into the spring) to get recognition? Had he not had the same opportunity to campaign? That was the regular season. We're in the playoffs now, and the Super Bowl is in November. You want to blame the NFL for the performance of the Dolphins? HINT: The Dolphins were excluded from the playoffs. Perhaps a bunch of folks should get together and ask why, if the Dolphins aren't allowed in the playoffs despite their record, Miami should even agree to take part in the NFL next year. That'll show those mean, nasty and unfair NFL executives that they can't pick our playoff teams for us!.
Hunter didn't run a good campaign. He. Did. Not. Run. A. Good. Campaign. He himself, those running his campaign, and to a lesser extent his supporters are responsible for where he is now. No one else. It's not the media. It's not Fox News. It's not the evil Tree Zombies from Planet Woogiesnookums. Stop blaming others, and own up to the fact a very good man ran a very horrible campaign and that he doesn't meet what by any standards are reasonable and rational criteria for inclusion in a debate this late in the campaign (albeit early in primary season). We laugh at the left when they claim vote fraud any time they lose, but then turn around and see bogeymen because out candidate couldn't garner enough support to be viable? The reaction then is to get all huffy and say, in effect, well we're just taking our ball and going home, calling anyone who failed to support your guy a RINO and ask why the should expect your vote? Seriously? Geez, what would you do if you had to face real adversity? Drown it in tears?
I’ve sent your suggestion to the Hunter campaign. Let’s see if they move on it.
say, uptoolate (which you may well be)...
We don't want to use FREE REPUBLIC without giving anything back, and we want to try to stay above board here.
As much as possible, let us keep the debate and strategize out here in the open, and while I am at it, I STRONGLY URGE EVERYONE TO GET OUT THERE AND DONATE TO FREE REPUBLIC TONIGHT for without this forum, we would not be able to get a lot of this done. It goes both ways, so let us also show our support of Free Republic with some $$$ to get the current campaign up and over the top. We have some way to go! I am sending some tomorrow.
With the GOP going along with it. Someone needs to scream “Duncan Hunter” at the start of the debate when they announce the candidates. Seriously. Anyway to get his name out there and overcome this conspiracy. And it is just that. Look at the lengths they have gone to throughout this. I’m officially done with the GOP and there is a lot of shared blame for those we’d think of in the past as fellow conservatives. This is a wake up call.
Yeah, cheer him on for campaign finance reform as well will ya? You clearly are SO proud. And you think I’m going to support Fred after this charade? How nice to want to deny free speech to a man who has literally fought in a war for his country!! There will be fallout from this and you people who cheer the way in which Hunter has been treated on should never be forgotten.
He’s too good and they know it. This has been going on since the beginning of the process. They are getting more and more obvious now that the voting is underway and they don’t want people to actually get informed in that Duncan Hunter is actually in this race, ya know? Yet the GOP/the other candidates are equally to blame here and I’m out.
