Gee. What a novel concept!
That was Reason's take on it, not the campaign's.
So I’m not less than half retarted, which means I’m more than half retarted? Nice..
They are called Reason for a reason.
Eh, just forget that last one. It was doomed from the start.
I just read this whole thing and while yes some of the remarks are NOT politically correct, I see nothing that I’d call racist or homophobic or even, well wrong.
I hate to tell you, but you have just been insulted by the campaign. Between post #1 and now, the campaign issued a release denouncing them and saying anyone who thinks this way is small minded.
A 1987 issue of Paul’s Investment Letter called Israel “an aggressive, national socialist state,” and a 1990 newsletter discussed the “tens of thousands of well-placed friends of Israel in all countries who are willing to wok [sic] for the Mossad in their area of expertise.” Of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, a newsletter said, “Whether it was a setup by the Israeli Mossad, as a Jewish friend of mine suspects, or was truly a retaliation by the Islamic fundamentalists, matters little.”
The man might not be a racist or a homophobe, but he is without any doubt, a raving lunatic.
Yes, the campaigned denounced it, and properly so. You seem to be using this as an argument against Ron Paul. He could walk on water and you would find something to criticize. Destroy, destroy, destroy, give no quarter eh?
So the campaign is attacking it’s own koo...er, candidate?
Not my argument, that was Reason magazine’s argument.
“He could walk on water and you would find something to criticize.”
“Ron Paul Can’t Swim!”
Nope, all the people who, when this came out, chose the path of defending the statemetns.
I saw noting that needed defending, but the stuff about the ‘93 hit on the WTC was ridiculous.
I hope you'd agree that some of those "statements" were worth defending, and were not controversial to any other than ultra-sensitive SPLC wusses.
I was not referring to Reason but do your strange use of fact that the Paul campaign repudiated the comments against him. He can’t win in your eyeas, whether he embraces or repudiates the comments.
You’re joking? 12-13 years of newsletter production under his name and that’s how you explain it? This is beyond all belief.
I didn't say the campaign used the comments against Paul, I said the comments backfired on those who chose the route of defending paul by defending the comments.
I should hope so.

There are many more here, he was a one man publishing house for several decades, so you probably have some of these in your local university library.
I read a few, and yes, Ron Paul is a nut.
Sometimes he’s the harmless “Buy Gold NOW-Economy Collapse Coming” or “Computer chips=Mark of the Beat” kinda nut.
Other times he goes for the much less entertaining “Beware the Jew/Negro Conspiracy-Secession Now” kinda nut.
But Paulitologist see nothing wrong in L. Ron Paul, so there is no point in arguing with them.
