I agree with you, perhaps for different reasons. Huckabee would appeal strongly to voters in Ohio....also Western Pennsylvania...maybe enough to overcome corruption in Philadelphia.

I'm curious about those other reasons. Care to share?

I’ve been saying it too - and probably got just as slammed as you did!

Hillary may still pull it out and the GOP can be competitive.

Never thought I would hope for something like this, but I truly am!!! The news is SERIOUSLY all over Obama Mania. It is very strange. It is actually eerie and very disturbing to me that people are falling on Barack like he is a rock star.

...if Obama is the nominee, we will indeed have a difficult time holding Virginia in the GOP column. For the first time since 1964.

Nonsense. How much do we really know about Obama? He may be more flawed than you think. Let's see how he emerges from the Clintons' op research machine and then, if he gets the nomination, how well he stands up to Rep scrutiny. It is way to early to make such predictions.

Pay attention. I didn't say we'd lose Virginia. But it will be difficult. At the very least, the GOP won't be able to take Virginia for granted.

It will be difficult depending upon who the candidates are plus a host of other variables that may influence the election over the next 11 months, e.g., the Iraq War, Iran, the economy, etc. There is no doubt that some Rep candidates will run better in VA than others regardless of who the Dem nominee is. Although I don’t want him to come even close to getting the nomination, McCain would probably be the strongest Rep candidate in VA.

For 2 reasons:

1. The GOP was in control in Ohio and totally and completely f**ked things up. Strickland (D) hasn’t been Guv long enough to piss them off yet.

2. Ohioans ain’t too bright in matters of economics. They’re pissed the Ohio economy is weak, failing to realize that it’s largely BECAUSE of the Yoon-yuns in addition to liberal policies enacted and/or continued by politicians who were supposed to be conservatives.

Some FReepers can be pretty myopic. Short story - Hillary is toast anyway. SO 20th century! Bill must be about to have a stroke.

I check in once or twice a day, and it’s been operating ok, just a little slow.

I think they are having server problems.

I found an alternate IP address for InTrade https://213.200.94.8/ at TradeSports.com.
