Agreed. Duncan Hunter is a good conservative. I’d like to see him team up with the last real conservative in the race: Fred Thompson.

(Guess what? I'm voting for the Conservative. Fred Thompson.)
To: Soliton
If he does drop out, it will be a damn shame. The best candidate for the job, IMO. He is someone we need now, a true, honest, pro-American, no apologies conservative.
I think if a Repub wins the race Hunter has a good chance getting an admin position...SecDef would be good.
To: Soliton
If you’re dropping out, Duncan, give a big pitch for Fred.
Come on, Mr. Vice President, do it.

How could he be in NAMBLA?
He doesn't look anything like Marlon Brando.
To: Spktyr
Damn. The only guy I think I can vote for.

he had trouble getting his message out for some reason
- No money.
- No power base.
- No name recognition.
- No plan to overcome #1 through #3.

I think hes announcing some kind of action against the media for blackballing him in the debates.
I hope that's what he's doing. I am currently taking action by refusing to watch fox "news" ever again.

I think Hunter did not have a good campaign organization. Every successful Presidential candidate needs some inspired and innovative political operatives. I hope he’s making an announcement of a major endorsement, but . . .

“Will he also be endorsing Rino Mitt?”
I wouldn’t put it past Romney to offer to finance Hunter’s Son’s campaign in exchange for his endorsement.
If that happens my respect for Hunter would drop to zero!

I guess the next question will be who he throws his support behind.

Congress will miss Duncan for sure, and with Tancredo leaving too, watch for it move RINO.

I wonder who he’ll endorse? It will speak volumes about what type of conservative he is (depending on who he endorses).

Total speculation, but that is what this thread is all about. Didn't Duncan have a major problem with Freds China position? And China is was one of Duncans major issues.
Last night, seemingly out of the blue, Romney brought up China at least once or twice, in fact one of the focus groups mentioned it. Is it possible that Duncan has talked with Mitt and promised his support if he continues the China dialog?

Yes. As much as Id’ like it Hunter cannot win this election so he needs to start planning for 2012 or 2016 now by serving as a VP or cabinet position for FDT.

I think hes announcing some kind of action against the media for blackballing him in the debates.Let's hope. How about bringing on a new campaign manager?
