Sorry, but I didn't have my Read between the Lines gizmo plugged in.
Seriously, I am really sick of politicians having to be goodlooking, smooth talking, and ready with the superficial quips that hide an empty suit. Evidently, George Washington, Abe Lincoln, and the Adamses would never be elected in today's world--none of them was pretty.
I do not see Fred as the second coming of Reagan, just the most conservative candidate available outside Duncan Hunter. Down here in Alabama, Un of AL is still seeking the second coming of Bear Bryant, and they have missed several good coaches because they didn't quite measure up to the Bear.

I don’t know how old you are Tim but I understand your reasoning because I’ve been there. In fact I’m at least partially responsible for the constitution being obscured by the tons of political pigeon excrement. You see I held my nose and voted for the party chosen nominee, as you say you will, instead of fighting for the best one.
This will probably be my last presidential election. I have repented. If no party offers a constitutional conservative candidate I will abstain from participation. Perhaps the temperature in the pot will increase rapidly enough the rest of the frogs will feel it and escape.
