Ghastly, savage and barbaric. I am always amazed that these kinds of unfeeling louts can come up with these things. The child was crying/whining at 17 months old? What did this scumbag expect? Scintillating conversation over a quiet dinner? And, then, to come up with the notion that hot oil and a hair dryer would help the situation?

Seems to me that the same should be done to the perp... Any volunteers to help?

Ropes too good for this one... rusty knife and belly wound with no chance of medical treatment are what this jackass deserves.

I would bet this guy is a Haitian immigrant, of course the station that reported it didn’t say.

It’s all Bush’s fault. He’s teaching Americans that it’s okay to torture.

Do I get my own MSNBC show now?

Awhile back there was a story like this and I said I thought the adults involved should be shot, and I received many replies saying I was a horrible person.
So I am going out on a limb here and say these adults need to be boiled in oil, nearly to death, then allowed to slowly linger until dead.
Horrible yes but they deserve it.

Yeah, you’re both right. That was my first inclination, but I’m sure there are other uses for the rope to be applied.

Based on the name and location, that's a fair bet.

Some of the worst things in the world are done by Mommy’s boyfriend.

True. Statistically, the chances of abuse go way up if a stepfather or boyfriend is in the house.

Maybe it’s just the last shred of optimism left in me talking, but I have to believe this guy was whacked out on crack or something, because I don’t think even hardened criminals would be this cruel. If he wasn’t, he needs to be put down immediately. Then again, if he was, he needs to be put down immediately.

JMO but I think it goes deeper than the child annoying them. I believe it is a hatred of their real father that they are being punished for. Poor baby. I pray he finds a loving home. He will never forget this though, even if he “forgets” Moms I know there are some wonderful stepdads out there but be real careful about who you bring into your home.

Few would argue with that sentiment.

As I have stated in previous post similar to this one, these aberrations are the products of the entitlement system which creates them (liberal Democrats to blame!).

Easy, but wrong -- we're all to blame, in some sense. This is the confluence of at least three cultural failures.

First, we have come to accept illegitimacy as "normal," to the point where we think it's unfortunate and sub-optimal, but not really wrong. So there's that part.

Second, we've come to accept "living together" as "normal," and in most cases it's not even frowned upon -- it's just a lifestyle choice, among many others.

Third is, of course, sex. Sex is seen as something to be done for its own sake, because it's "fulfilling." As a rule, we don't frown on sex outside of marriage -- the old "consenting adults" thing is supposed to have superceded such stodgy thinking.

And so now we see the confluence of them here, and in too many similar cases. Mother of illegitimate kids once again mistakes sex for love, and shacks up with the man who ends up hurting or killing her kid.

It used to be that marriage was a requirement for cohabitation, sex, and kids -- and that's no longer the case. The culprits are not just liberal Democrats: we've all allowed those conditions to fester and flourish.

Countless children in this country suffer every day because souless, narcassistic ignoramases get pregnant, with no intent of actually loving or nuturing the child. The child fulfills a selfish need for the mother and grandmother and “uunts”. Their children are their posessions, to be styled and flaunted, to relfect the mother, who gains status among other like-minded morons. Father’s collect baby pictures of each child they sire to flaunt to anyone they think will be impressed. It’s very sick, depraved behavior that exists because society doesn’t want to appear judgemental. So let the children suffer and continue the cycle every 14 yrs.
