The government DOES have powers over the womb. Abortion is MURDER, and the government has the duty to stop babies from being murdered.

“So, they will all identify with him. Apparently Rush sees conservative evangelical voters as lemmings of some sort who all group together.”

Lemmings is as Lemmings does...

“Agreed. Among a few moderates around me who’ve actually bothered to see Huckabee in interviews (this is America, we’ve got better things to do than to obsess over some silly caucus), they’ve all had a uniformly negative reaction to all the Jesus comments. I’m one Catholic who wonders if once Huckabee’s finished demonizing the Mormons, he’ll decide we’re next on the hit list.

While I want a tough President, I want one who finds his enemies overseas shooting at our people, not his neighbors who follow a different Christian creed. Huckabee would have fit in well in the 30 Years War or the Byzantine Empires struggles over the Trinity. What is about Arkansas that produces these narrow minded, deceitful, hypocritical politicians?”

Hopefully, the Arkansan will be flushed soon.

I’m a part of, what most would call, “The Religious Right” and a catholic op-ed nor the MSM will never speak for me.

We thought we were getting some good stuff with Bush and look at how that turned out?????

Nope, I’m going to vote for the most conservative candidate out there.

That’s why I call it a ClusterHuck.

It is 100% clear that Romney’s and Thompson’s lack of evagelical church-going was enough to turn people off them and on to the more liberal and less qualified and less ethical Huckabee.

“who will lose their soul and go to hell for voting for a certain candidate (RG).” No, that’s MR who’s in the cult ya know.

These are the kind of idiots who brought us Jimmy Carter.

The problem is that Huckabee is not a conservative.
There are other serious Christian in this race. Hunter actual is a conservative and a Christian. Paul is a Christian and a Libertarian. The Huckster isa nannystater with questionable ethics a propensity to lie behind a veneer of religiousity.
Matt 23 anyone?

“The ‘religious right’ is on a course that will rip the conservative coalition to shreds. “

We were going to get the Reagan coalition destroyed by getting Rudy nominated, and the SoCons said “No, that’s unacceptable!” So they are destroying the coalition with Mike Huckabee instead.

A total ClusterHuck.

Ever heard of Roberts and Alito?

If you a Constitutional Amendment, you better get some Congressmen and Senators elected.

What is wrong with you people?

Bush is the most pro-life President we’ve ever had.

Tonight proves that Iowa stands for "idiots out walking around".

Finally something to make me laugh tonight.

Wrong, the federal government has no jurisdiction over murder. That power is reserved to the states.

~”So they are destroying the coalition with Mike Huckabee instead.”~

Indeed. There are only two candidates who wouldn’t tear it apart, and they placed second and third.

“One can be. I miss those kinds of GOP social+economic conservative voters. Where did they go?”

One of them received 25% of the vote.

Republicans/Conservatives should be projecting power, cunning, ruthlessness and strength overseas right now, to our troops, our enemies, and allies, and enemy governments.

And instead we have this, unfrigginbelieveable.

All the work the troops have put in, all their blood and tears, all the grief, all the slanders of President Bush, VP Cheney, and the US went thru.

What a slap in the face to all of them.

Obviously being #1 is best, and I consider the result a total CLUSTERHUCK, but Romney has a national operation and there are several other early states where he can do well. Romney has just outpolled Thompson, outpolled McCain, outpolled Rudy. If he can do it in Iowa, he can do it elsewhere. Even without NH, there are several other early states like Nevada and Michigan.

And if the race is a Romney v McCain v Huckabee race, Romney is BY FAR the most acceptable qualified and credible candidate.

Don’t count him out.
