The Polls in 2004 had Kerry as President so much for the polls and accuracy. Only the Clintons and libs give credence to polls. Ron Paul finished with 10% of the vote in Iowa and was very close to McCain and Thompson.

Did Shep just call Huckabee a liar? Huckabee said he ran a clean campaign, and Shep interrupted him and said, "it hasn't been a clean campaign, you're trying to put as clean a face as possible on it." Huckabee just sat there.

"Fred is just a lighter version of Huckabee"Thank you. I thought I was the only one thinking that.
They both are good people compared to any of those Clowns on the Left. But Fred too brings some overweight baggage.
I sadly say there is no Ideal canidate. But my vote is already in so I don't count. Whoever is the Republican Canidate is my vote. Now, read my tag line of what Rush said.

Would you want to be riding on that plane with Hillary tonight? Talk about a flight to hell. They could make a horror movie about it. Instead of Snakes on a Plane it would be Raging Hilldabeast on a Plane.

[Oprah's empire]
It was not self-manufactured... it was all given to her by the PC press.
Bovine scat. Love or hate her politics, Oprah draws an audience. Her power begins and ends with that simple fact. When she recommends a book for her "book club," it shoots onto the best-seller charts, even if it was published 40 years ago and was stocked at the back of the bookstore a week before.
Forget your fantasy of the "PC press" that has some sort of secret bankroll to push an agenda. The party line is the bottom line. Oprah's show is syndicated; stations pick it up because it brings eyeballs, and eyeballs bring advertisers, and advertisers bring money.
In the early days, Oprah was basically a Donohue wannabe. As syndicated talk shows raced to the bottom, she went the other direction. Jerry Springer's show in its first season and Oprah Winfrey's show in its first season were roughly comparable; now, they're as different as night and day.
Not everything is political. Oprah is an admirable person, however liberal. Her book club touts books with real literary merit, not "Bridges of Madison County" crap. Her show features a lot of celebrity nonsense and liberal politics, but also worthwhile health and lifestyle advice. It has an audience, and the audience wasn't handed to her. She built it.

The part that makes me the angriest is the media bias against Fred Thompson. And I had enough of the McCain promotion. Thompson actually campaigned in Iowa, and has ~ $9M more.
Not pleased with FNC this evening at all.

As a Fred fan I must say I'd be feeling much worse if Mitt and Huck were reversed. Most likely Mitt won't win NH and then SC is up for grabs. Of course McCain or the Huckster could take SC but I have a feeling talk radio, esp Rush will be a lot more vocal in their displeasure in both candidates. And they'll have more than just one or two days to do it too so it might just begin to stick. Yep. I will continue to avoid predictions, beyond the prediction that this race will continue to be unpredictable. But this isn't over by a long shot.
Romney is the guy who's looking the bleakest tonight -- after spending many months in Iowa and outspending his opponents 20-1, he lost to Huckabee -- and apparently lost badly unless he has a very late-breaking surge. In retrospect it looks like a major mistake for Romney to so openly telegraph how important Iowa was to him. But time will tell.
