I would make one addition.

I would promise a cool $10 to 30 million a year to a retired Mexican general. For every illegal caught $5,000 would be subtracted from that $10 million. At the end of the year the Mexican general would get what is left.

This is not my original idea. I read it somewhere. It was written as a joke.

OK, well, you make no sense. What is bleeding heart about my post? (it’s bleeding not bleating, unless you are referring to sheep). I have no clue why you think that the fact that we differ on terminology makes me a bleeding heart of any sort. The original poster said the man was a vigilante, I said no, more like a mercenary, and I stand by that—he does something he doesn’t really agree with (judging by his belief that illegal immigration is ok) for $$$. I don’t know what could be more clear. However, I’m really, REALLY tired of discussing this with you. I have made my point, you have attempted to make yours, and I’ll let anyone who is actually even interested (and I doubt anyone is at this point) make up their own mind.

Why? Does the Mexican government have pictures of the justices in compromising positions?

Because the 14th A. makes a clear distinction between citizens and residents in jurisdictions.

"No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

The ruling came in the wake of California Prop. 187, which denied state services, such as public schooling, to illegal aliens.
