I think that the average woman would need a shrink if she did all this and COULD NOT get a man to put his penis in play.
I would like to see this same scam tried at the typical cop BBQ, or anywhere else in life.

I hope he doesn’t lose his job. He was set up, and as other folks have mentioned the police should stop trying to create crimes and actually do their jobs.

Watch the video. It’s complete horse manure.

As a few FReepers have noted you'd think the Columbus PD had better things to do like going after real criminals - and THEY ARE RIGHT.
Here's the Crime stats for Columbus, OH...
Columbus Violent Crime Rate per Capita:
- Murder: 1.96 times the National Average
- Forcible Rape: 2.33 times the National Average
- Robbery: 2.10 times the National Average
- Aggravated Assault: 0.82 times the National Average (Whoopee for them!)
- All Violent Crime: 1.43 times the National Average
Columbus Property Crime Rate per Capita:
- Burglary: 2.37 times the National Average
- Larceny or Theft: 1.55 times the National Average
- Car Theft: 1.92 times the National Average
- Arson: 0.00 times the National Average (BOGUS Stat, can't have ZERO arsons)
- All Property Crime: 1.76 times the National Average
So Columbus, OH. with Crime stats above the National Averages, except in one lousy category, have the time and money to expend on entrapping straight men with naked female cops in city parks.
Great Going Brainiacs!!!
Hey maybe next next year try going after Jay Walkers and Litterbugs.
You can have the cops kids set up Lemonade Stands then send the SWAT Team after those who throw the Dixie Cups away on a lawn or illegally cross the street to quench their thirst.
Oh, and don't forget your Tazers for those miscreants who resist arrest!

If I was on the jury, I would buy the entrapment defense in this case.
Same here. This is stupid. Hey cops - get back to actually fighting crime.

If sunbathing is indeed illegal in the public parks of Columbus, I dont understand how the police can legally ask someone to break that law in order to catch someone else breaking a similar exposure law.
Because people are dumb enough now to believe that it's okay to break the law while enforcing it.

It’s not entrapment b/c one can always say “no” to the offer here. No pressure was placed on the arrestee.

How is what he did perverted in any way? Sounds like a normal guy to me! Has Ohio declared WAR on heterosexuals? Is the “police” dept run by GAYS?

If this had been an incident with two gay men it would have been fine. To stop such an event would be considered a hate crime today.
To: 2harddrive
Where are the woman’s pics, BTW? And, have they any hard evidence against the guy? LOL.

I guess the greater issue is: why is it legal for a woman to bare her chest but illegal for a man to bare his privates?
I guess we need to change the law so that men can expose themselves legally. You know, if so many people are breaking that law that the cops have to host a sting, then it should just be legal.
Of course, we can’t make it illegal for women to bare their chests, because THAT would be discrimination.

Greetings Tony:
Sure seems every one missed this angle of the story:
No matter what the pervert problem IS at the park, this IS a very degrading way to treat a law enforcement employee. Females sitting around the park topless IS a bona fide occupational qualifacation, Columbus must be one heck of a employee job description for the females.
And who IS conducting the job interviews?
Then again, I guess it all depends upon what the meaning of the word IS is.
Praying Ohio can do better than RINOs in 2008,

Here in Texas, it is legal for a woman to be topless, anywhere, any time, although many people are unaware of it. You see them once ina while, usually at beaches, or in their backyards, or at protest rallies and concerts. But still, nothing like THIS has ever happenned to me! LOL.

Law enforcement officials say that such sting operations are an extremely effective means of lowering crime ratesMore like creating crime to me.

Well if she is also a cop they probably like tooling around behind a co-worker as she cavorts around topless seducing men.
This is getting ridiculous imo, these types of stings and the misuse of Tazers.

If the account as stated here is correct, the police were guilty of entrapment. The arrest is invalid.
To: Erik Latranyi
Bingo, its just numbers game now.As this attitude slowly corrodes the culture of law enforcement, it makes it easier to do less real law enforcement and discourages career officers who are trying to make the our world a safer place.Example, look how are public schools are now, politics and union over real teaching,..lower standards and expediency.

Sounds like a red-blooded firefighter to me. If I had a choice of sending this guy into a burning building to rescue my children or sending in a guy who didn't have enough testosterone to draw his gun after all that encouragement, I would pick the gunslinger.
