It’s okay for people who live outside the state of Texas to donate to Peden’s campaign?

How do you think DeLay rounded up all those millions he spread around the political circles...... Of course that was in his PACs but you can donate from outside the state/district to individual campaigns.

Ron Paul has raised millions for his Presidential run and that same money can be use in his Congressional race should he desire to use it. Currently he had some $80,000 in his CD race fund at the end of the 3rd qtr and Peden had less than a $1,000 if I remember correctly. So Peden does need funds.

I live in Chicago area.
We have a very strong teachers union.
They don’t like anyone meddling with the Department of Education. It’s a turf thing.

I’ll e-mail my Republican teachers to pass the word.

...actually, I don't believe this is the case. I'll have to check, but I believe they have to be accounted and used separately.

Heck, if Paul can use Troofers, Nazis, and Sheehans to build his grassroots, using Unions against him almost seems moral. :->

Please do and post the FEC rule [link] if you find it...... I know they have to be accounted for separately but it’s my understanding he can transfer/use the Presidential funds or parts there of to his CD campaign. Remember them talking about Hillary doing the same if she so chose to with her Presidential funds?....

Well, like everything else with CFR, it seems to be a big, confusing circle.

Yep the code is not the easiest thing to manuver within.

The following is a quote from a Fox news article alluding to Hillary transferring funds from her Senate committee to her Presidential committee...... I know she transferred $10 million in the 1st qrt filing of 07 and it is listed under the filings of both committees..... The reverse transfer would have to occur for Paul to do this but I was using a statement from an article I read today that stated he could use some of the funds... Maybe incorrect, I don’t know... Also Giuliani transferred some $2 million from his aborted Senate run a few yrs ago against Hillary to his Presidential committee....

From the Fox article: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,292312,00.html
Also, Hillary Clinton was able to transfer a significant amount of left over campaign funds from her Senate campaign committee account following her successful re-election campaign last year. Presidential candidates are free to transfer funds from their regular federal re-election accounts whereas state officials like governors cannot transfer funds from their state election accounts to their federal presidential campaign.
