Kerry’s hunting license and mincing out of the woods photo-oops
cost him far more votes than it gained.

And yet you persist in promoting penguin-clubbing.

no, it’s not natural. It used to be a need....not anymore.

It's all relative. When I shot my 6-pointer a couple weeks ago, I sure "needed" to warm my hands up by sticking them inside its body cavity. And, as always, it worked like a charm. And this week I'll enjoy some delicious venison steaks.

Another J frickin’ Kerry stunt. If this doesn’t show people what a jerk he is, nothing will. First, Clinton with his goose hunting, the Kerry with his “can I get me a license here?” BS and now another liberal(but this one pretending to be a conservative)with a pheasent hunt. Will it never sink in to this dumbasses that this doesn’t work?

Actually, the text would be better translated as "Thou shalt not murder".

</nit-pick>

But seriously...

At least there aren't any price tags still hanging from Huckleberry's camos. (He's still a nannystater, though.)

Fawn said: ‘no, it’s not natural. It used to be a need....not anymore.’

xone said: I guess you and PETA define ‘natural and need’ now. The thing is, Fawn, if you eat meat you are killing animals, whether you do it yourself or let someone else do it for you. I have far more respect for someone who can face the facts that animals are killed for food and do the killing themselves. A lot of people against hunting gleefully eat meat and look down their noses at hunters as being savage. I eat meat, and I acknowlege the fact an animal died so I can eat it. I also hunt animals and eat the ones I kill. I, and all other hunters, are more honest than the meat eaters who claim they don't kill animals, when in reality they do, indirectly true, but the animals still die.

Even vegetarians earn more respect from me than meat eaters who claim they are above killing animals, because the vegetarians are at least living their beliefs, the meat eaters who deny killing are lying to themselves, and others.

“Is this kind of thing helpful in a campaign?”

Probably doesn’t help or hurt so long as you don’t shoot anybody in the face.

Game farm = planted birds. No better than Kerry, in my book.

Aw, I don't see anything wrong with hunting at a game farm or fishing at a stocked pond. It's just some outdoor fun.

It's not like Romney, who claimed he was a hunter, but wasn't, and claimed he owned a gun, but didn't, and, most importantly, linked hunting to claims he supported the 2nd Amendment, as if that's what the 2nd Amendment was about.

"Asked why Cheney hadn't been invited, Huckabee chuckled, "Because I want to survive all the way through this."

Jerk.

Get real. Going out anf killing your food is much cheaper than buying from the store. There is nothing more natural. Going to the store is unnatural.

“Like I said the one flying is a rooster and the one he has is a hen. DUhhhhh”

This site is populated by pretty gullible people if you can convince them all that that was a hen. And it only took a couple of posts before the game-farm assumption was tossed in and in a few more it will become another established anti-Huckabee factoid on this site.

It was a rooster, as you can easily see from the dark head sticking above his hand. And as the picture demonstrated, very young roosters have very little coloring (not the case of Huckabee’s rooster, but germane to your comment) so it’s pretty tough to make the sort of blanket comment you made in any case.

I shot a rooster once with everyone on both sides of me yelling “Hen” to stop me. I took another look at it, told myself, “It’s a pretty strange coloring for a rooster, but it’s no hen” and pulled the trigger. The coloring on the breast had started to show, but the head and ringneck were still brown. And it was a rooster.

Huckabee, despite your protests, is a normal person who actually hunts, and will protect our second amendment rights, as opposed to Guiliani and Romney, who cannot be trusted to do so, especially Guiliani, but Romney has no hunting credentials either, as noted in here.

Although I'm not a Huckabee fan, I see nothing here to criticize him for. Notice in the pictures that Huck's hunting clothes and gear looks well worn. He is obviously a hunter in real life and didn't merely sleep in a Holiday Inn last night. I remember both Bubba and Kerry in their hunting photo ops. Both were wearing a ton of brand new cammo clothing and gear that had obviously been bought the previous day. You could almost see the price tags hanging from the sleeves. It was pretty apparent neither had ever been hunting in their life.

offering Iowa voters the image of an experienced outdoorsman on the hunt, shotgun blasting and dogs braying.

More like offering the image of a shameless panderer, the likes of which we have only seen once in this nation, coincidentally also from Hope, Arkansas.

If it works it proves only how stupid so many Americans still are after decades of this bullshit.

Your are completely wrong here. First look at the head of the bird he is holding with a magnifying glass and you will see that it is not the “dark head” but the black part of his gloves. Second , you seem to think I’m anti Huckabee when that is not true, although he is not my first or second choice. My gripe was with the birds and that they are not the same birds and being a hunter of game and birds all my life from a county that is loaded with them , that is a hen no matter how much you don’t want it to be. Unless of course, like I said, some pheasants are transvestites.
