We all want change.
I see the flaws and waste.
But change should be done slowly.
Ron Paul wants a Revolution and totally dismantle our government...like overnight.
Its not going to work.
Don’t you think all the Unionized Federal Workers are going to be pleased when all their jobs are dismantled?
Not sure; but I bet we'd save money tossing them all on the dole, and reclaiming the exorbitant salaries and benefits they've snatched for themselves.
That said -- Paul would be the start of the end as we know it. Sadly.
Truth drives loons silent. Thank you.
Shhhhhh.....
“That said — Paul would be the start of the end as we know it. Sadly...”.
Its called reality. Many union workers feel they deserve those exorbitant salaries and benefits. They worked very hard for them and it was approved at the negotiation table.
Trying to breach the contracts would mean years wasted in litigation in the court room.
This is where Ron Paul’s Pipe Dream Revolution comes floating down to reality.
Human Nature will take over.
My husband feels the same way about his Navy Retirement Package. He feels he deserves it and gets all upset if someone tries to take some of those benefits away. I can’t blame him.
If Ron Paul get elected as President and manages to dismantle the IRS....we will see the proliferation of lawyers and overworked judical system.
Nothing good will come out of Ron Paul’s Revolution except opening more can of worms.
Are you saying the IRS wouldn’t just close shop and say “see ya”?
The Navy has a union? I'm always the last to know! ;^)
My (maybe intemperate) retort was about the civilian parasites that infest all levels of government. I believe we are now pretty close to the point where 50% of the population are attached to some form of government largess, directly or indirectly (myself included -- Social Security). No, I don't have any answers or solutions, but we need to find some, soon, or the great American Experience will devolve to anarchist socialism.
Paul ain't it.
No, you have angry armed accountants.
Quite so! Props to you!
Greetings!
Where is Ron Paul coming from? Who are his influences?

Two of his brothers are Lutheran ministers.
Chalmers Johnson is a foreign policy influence.

Hopefully this may stimulate discussion.
Thank You!

Not much more from me.
Not Bastiat, Von Mises, Reagan, Goldwater nor Martin Luther ever said that Islamist Homicide Bombers should be allowed to murder with impunity. You can not reason, negotiate or co-exist with religious fanatics that have sworn to murder nonbelievers and then begin doing it.
Ron Paul blames American foreign policy for causing Islamist Fascist Homicide Bombers. Neville Chamberlain was a fool and so is Ron Paul.
