Right. Most Jewish people could care less about Christmas, one way or another. All it takes is a small percentage of them to be offended, however, to cause a merchant to use the much safer, more inclusive phrase, “Happy Holidays”
The Jews who are offended by “Merry Christmas” are usually atheistic, in my experience. Religious Jews aren’t bothered by it. It’s the Chuck Schumer type secularist Jews who ignore their own Jewish laws and traditions, who then turn around and howl that a Merry Christmas banner offends their “Jewishness”.
They’re the equivalent of Catholics who go around supporting abortion and same-sex “marriage”, but then feign horror at Baptist fundamentalists because they disagree with Papal doctrine.
I know plenty of Jews who aren’t the least bit offended by “Merry Christmas”. This may not seem like a big deal to you, but it’s a part of the overall culture war in which everything associated with our history as a nation or civilization is being slowly eradicated.
