The people closest to Mitt say that he’s been on the pro-life side all along.

I have no respect for a man who would be pro life in his conscience and yet pretend to be pro-abortion in order to get elected to office. I prefer a man who is firm in his convictions. The only thing that Romney is firm on is his lust for power.

If he has beem a pro-life sheep in pro-abortion wolf's clothing and you add to that the insistence upon $50 abortions in MASS, then Romney is a creep of the lowest order.

We don't need a president who gained power by lying about his abortion views as a strategy to gain an office of public trust. Here is a man who clearly sold his soul to the devil to gain power. Regardless of his religious affiliation, he is not worthy of the office of President of the United States.

“they could not recall Lenore Romney speaking out publicly for abortion.”

The anti’s are really scrapping to find something on Romney’s family. All they can come up with is goofy stuff like this.

You have to remember the fundamentals of Mitt. He was a English major valedictorian, and he went to Harvard Law, got a MBA, and as the Mittbots say is the brightest guy in the room. So, he can speak and write in perfectly clear english. But he doesn’t. He doesn’t when he talks about guns and the second. Or his judges. Or abortion. Or gay marriages. His liberalism Or even firing the landscaper and what state he pays taxes in. And yet he is supposed to be some kind of leader. How do you lead if you can not communicate?

Now, the question is why? Is it psychologically because of his always desire to be President, and like a good little boy make his daddy happy? He does look boyish. Is it because his father, and mother where also parsing liberals, as was/is Mitt? Like father, like son?

Is he sick or lying? Why do people call him weird? What makes Mittboy run? In short, WTF is this guy all about? Why is supposedly this straight, and pure, and moral and the brightest guy in the room all over the place? Why’s he so, so slippery. How did this light amongst us sinners manage to be thought of as the Kerry/Edwards of the Republicans?

I believe Mitt Romney over the BOSTON GLOBE or any other MSM outlet any day of the week.

Are you saying....this Mike Murphy guy didn't say this?

"He's been a pro-life Mormon faking it as a pro-choice friendly," Romney adviser Mike Murphy told the National Review in 2006.

So unless you’re a pro-choice friendly, why would you care? The people closest to Mitt say that he’s been on the pro-life side all along.

And it doesn't bother you that he would lie about it. Just to be elected?

As I stated in another post, Romney did not lie. He attempted to take a “nuanced” position on an issue that really is black and white. He said that despite being pro-life, he would do nothing to overturn the current law while serving as governor...and he didn’t.

Romney says that he now recognizes that “doing nothing” is tantamount to being pro-choice. And as a pro-life individual, Mitt realizes that an elected official cannot simply sit on the sideline, and therefore hand a victory to the pro-choice movement.

He’s on the right side of the issue now, and those closest to him say that he’s been pro-life all along.

Yeah...I guess "faking it" is, as you say,.."nuanced".

Look at the people who are running:

Huckabee will raise your taxes, and pay for illegals to attend college
Giuliani will seize your guns, make you pay for abortions, and give amnesty to illegals
Thompson will sell you out to the highest paying lobbyist
McCain will give your country to illegals
Hunter will give the White House to Hillary

And Romney?
The biggest slam you guys come up with against Romney is that he “tricked” a bunch of liberals in Massachusetts into believing he was pro-choice. Big friggin’ whoop.

What kind of person calls a candidate a liar because he can’t prove that a family member said something because the family member is dead?

All I can say is that there seems to be an awful lot of people who are afraid that Romney will win and are grasping at straws to tear him down. First, it was that he could not have seen his father march with King because he was in high school. Now, he must be lying about his mother being pro choice, because no one remembers what she said about it.

Give us all a break and take a serious look at your own candidate.

The Boston Globe HAS been after Romney for over a decade, ever since he challenged that paper’s hero and prince, Senator Kennedy. Regardless of what one thinks of Romney as a candidate for national office, he has been the nemesis of the Globe as a Massachusetts figure , especially relative to Governor Weld and the line of more moderate governors who followed him (Weld).
