Wow! A dose of sanity, finally. I was just reading an article in World magazine about how individual states were doing this type of thing.

>..reduce global warming pollution ...

“EPA is not following science or the law,”

“This decision is like pulling over the fire trucks on their way to the blaze,” <

1) There is no ‘global warming’ to reduce.
2) The ‘global warming’ crowd are the ones not following “science or the law”.
3) This decision is like pulling over the fire trucks BECAUSE THERE IS NO BLAZE!

Let California legislate most of the cars off their highways. As soon as possible. Let them see what “feel good” legislation will do to the SUV owners.

Of course the elites will find some excuse to keep their gas hogs.

This WILL stand up in the courts, because the Supreme Court has always chosen to err on the side of the federal government by referring to the commerce clause. This will enfuriate the envirowhackos in california.

Now we’re supposed to subsidize California’s cars?

What a bunch of moochers. Isn’t it enough we help them pay for their water and electricity?

"EPA is not following science or the law," said Jim Tripp, general counsel for Environmental Defense. "This decision is like pulling over the fire trucks on their way to the blaze," said Fred Krupp, president of Environmental Defense

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

Sounds to me as though Jim is Tripping over his selective science on the environment. Real climatologists have evidence to disprove the whole global warming hoax, but deniers like Tripp choose to ignore their findings in favor of the hoaxists whose "consensus opinion" will provide more power to the GW myrmidons.

In the meantime, Fred Krupp needs more coffee - he's just not awake yet (a condition that has probably lasted his entire life).

“”The libs who cheered the new CAFE standards now know the meaning of the “double-edged sword”.””

Absolutely correct!!! And, oh by the way, don’t be too surprised if the new CAFE regs are never fully implmemented...Congress can reverse them at any time if the automakers fall on hard times.

I love it when the liberals whine. Last night, some Talk Show guy was sniveling on about how the bill Bush signed meant nothing. “The oil companies weren’t part of it, the electric companies don’t have to pay 20%, there is NOTHING of any significance in that bill. (Besides lightbulbs).” I couldn’t have been happier to hear that. And this news above.

“”Its like the Mensheviks winning one over the Bolsheviks””

No its more like the mensheviks lawyers winning one over the Bolsheviks lawyers. Nothing is ever decided in this world until the lawyers have beenh satisfied.
