actually the fair tax scam with its mandatory government registration, monthly determined government handout, and ecconomy crippling taxation is far more leftist than anything else.

Pretty much it seems just a “third way” socialism tool. Seems pretty much advocated by socialists who desire to bait and switch a socialist system under the opiate of promising to get rid of the IRS. (of course tax scammers have no idea what will happen to the government union workers with a government job contract...)

You think it is hypocritical for AFFT to hire a lobbyist and turn around and claim they want to get rid of most of the lobbyists on K Street?

I just have one question for you. Why?

Just a couple of statements from the FairTax org regarding Lobbyists and taxes

Many in Washington have based their careers on the income tax system and object to a simple and transparent tax system because it can't be "gamed" for profit. The FairTax monthly prebate "untaxes" spending on the necessities of life and eliminates the exceptions to federal taxes that provide such a lucrative playground for lobbyists. Despite Mr. Bartlett's assertion, the prebate is very much a part of the FairTax calculations, amounting to 5 percent of the 23 percent rate.

It's time for a tax system that benefits the public and the nation instead of just congressional power players and lobbyists. The FairTax is simply a better way to collect taxes for everyone -- except those who profit from manipulations of the tax code. Ken Hoagland, FairTax.org, Communications Director

Specifically, it's on the mind of the lobbyists on K Street. As we told you in The FairTax Book, these K Street lobbyists make their livings by manipulating the federal tax code for the benefit of their clients. And a handsome living it is. These lobbyists make in the hundreds of thousands of dollars -- sometimes over a million dollars -- a year! Make no mistake, the FairTax is a threat to them and their high paid livelihood! Neal Boortz

Don't you think its ironic that FairTaxers claim their tax scheme breaks the power of special interests to lobby for tax favors while employing lobbyists to influence government and the public for perhaps the biggest tax favor of all time?

No. Next question.

You claimed I was liar and I showed you my proof. What does that say about you when you knew the truth all along?

The “living prebate” will be the perennial lobby issue.

If you think New Orleans wefare recipients rioting over the loss of their governemnt hand out housing is bad, just wait for the “living prebarte” election year debates.

If you are just going to say prebate is just for anticipated tax expenditures again then you should also say social security is just a supplement. (among other xenu delusions)

Lawyers will be in force to have their fees sales tax exempt, then the doctors, then the contractors, and then ... and then... and then....

compromisese will be reased and some will be taxed less or more than others depending on their lobbyist. So instead of ONE sales tax you will have multiples. ON TOP OF THE STATE SALES AND INCOME TAXES.

The prebate pays the taxes for "necessities" up to the poverty level.
