No spin to it. As a committed Christian and a patriot whose ancestors fought in every war this nation was involved in between the First and Second War of Independence, I agree with the sentiment. There are too many in this nation that would willingly hand over freedom and liberty for the 'right' cause. What is it said the path to hell is paved with again?
Whereas according to the Constitution, it would seem the Republican party is the one out of touch with reality. The Framers never intended the federal government to get involved in moral issues or any such mess. What the Republican agenda does in legislating morality at the federal level is further turn the Constitution into a document that was intended solely to limit the federal government into a document that limits the freedoms and liberties (right or wrong) of the citizens of the respective states.
I thought Paul was already married.
First let me state Ron Paul is an educated moron. Unfortunately you do not understand Libertarianism as it is the closes thing to what the Founding Father created when they wrote our Constitution. The system is designed to prevent government from gaining too much power over us. In last 50 years the lust for power has undermined our liberties in the name of a fair society. The last 15 years the protection of children has been used to create all kinds of restrictive laws. (No guns allowed within 1000 near a school, the 10-year girl arrested for bring a knife to school to cut her steak for lunch, etc). The dynamic of a free society will always have holes in it but the real question is (Freedom vs Slavery).
criminalizing abortion is the first step to the gulags!
FWIW, Ron Paul is pro life.
