government is the reason. Thomas Sowell wrote a wonderful piece on how Sri Lanka was peaceful and many different immigrant groups got along well. Then over time the leftist in govt imposed pc garbage that pitted one group against another. Truly, government is the main factor in all serious problems we face. The left may yet succeed in destroying our once great Republic. Our Country is at the precipice. One way is Liberty and peace, the other is a Balkinized Socialist hell with the third world cancer eating away at our major cities.
A local policeman on an anonymous blog one night posted basically this same thing that the LA gang stuff is getting so out of control if one can move out of LA they should.
Of course if I was in a compromised neighborhood which basically they all are, but a few (just a few can still live under the illusion they are not) and I happen to live in one of those. If I did not, I would be outa here. Yet it is all still just an illusion.
I would be concerned if I lived in Oregon, WA, Colorado ir even ID as most the exports are moving there and guess what they are carrying with them or maybe trying to get their already involved kid away from? You got it the vitriolic LA or Mexican birthed gang banger. And the NW is infamous for opiate use and Meth (now big Mexican import product with local small U.S. labs shutting down do to restrictive laws for purchasing the recipe items to make and effective policing).
you stated it well. These gangs have contempt for all we hold dear. The law means nothing. In a truly just society, they would be hunted down and terminated. In many areas of our major cities the rule of law is an impediment to peace and Liberty. A type of Reset is needed. I can see a day when incredible violence must be brought to bear on these gangs. Otherwise, we will be turned into a third world sewer.

They are not known for their marksmanship, a lot of innocent bystanders get killed.

There seems to be some many factors contributing to the decline of this country; this is but another one. Will citizens of this country ever tire of our decline and do something? I wonder if we will not end up with battles in the streets between the People and these gangs? At least I know not to hold a pistol sideways to shoot at someone? LOL
Yeah. I wonder how different this whole article would be if LA and S. California in general were hard core conservative. You can bet your bottom dollar we wouldn’t be puttin’ up with this BS for a minute and it would have been contained a long, long time ago along with the illegal immigration take over (although a lot of thriving businesses employ them here so I am unsure if we (conservatives) would be part of the problem or part of the solution if we were the leaders in this part of the country. I would like to think once we realized we were giving our country away the latter).

Not everything needs to be viewed through the prism of illegal immigration. While that may be the case on the Hispanic side of the equation. The Absolute lack of hope for these folks and their endless cycle of nowhere is astonishing..
What is the answer? Enforcement, yes, but when 12 year olds have no hope of living and fo out each day knowing they will die and don;t care, then there is a VERY real problem here.
What struck me is that the gangs down there have devolved. There is no code of conduct, no rules, no civilians... no innocents in their minds. And it is spreading to a town near you.
How do I know? I travel five western states doing fairs. I see the customers-everyone is a wanna be gang banger. Hip hop and rap have helped this along...
SOme may have noticed in their town that Scarface memorabilia has taken hold. Out here on the west coast its alraedy passe. But the image of Al Pacino with his machine gun is a hero among youth...Blankets, t-shirts, toilet bruch caddys, everything is scarface.... Its all tied in...

You’re not being harsh at all. I grew up in L.A. and was in school in the 50’s. We didn’t have much of a problem until.....sorry to say it, but, until the white people moved out. Blacks, Mexicans and Aisians make up the gangs. Asians aren’t as bad but still a problem. Normally Vietnamese are the worst of the Asians. I totally believe, as some, it’s genetic. That being the case, they have no choice but to be who they are. Genetics drives them to the violence, given half a chance. Not all are like that but the majority are. I don’t believe that it is the crowding of the cities, it’s just genetics oriented. We saw some of the same things when I was in high school in the 50’s but we out numbered them and they would back off. The interesting part was that they would react for no reason at all other than to look good to their buddys.
People wonder why there is racism in our big cities. Whites don’t put up with the antics of the gang members but the gangs don’t care. Whites move out of the area and leave the city to the gangs. Police can’t handle it because the liberals say the gang members have their rights. If White people even talk about minorities the wrong way, we now call it racism. It’ll end in a major conflict someday. The interesting thing is these gangs can’t survive without the working world. They are having a hard time now because industry is moving out of their areas. In Watts, companies don’t even want to put in grocery stores because those that live in the area will steal everything they have. During the Watts riots, lived in Englewood. Once the National Guard went in, things settled down. The papers said that 30 people were killed during those riots. Believe me, the number was well over 100. I am beginning to believe that the races can’t live together. Whites don’t like the Blacks, Blacks don’t like Asians, Asians don’t like Mexicans, and the reverse is true for all of them. Look at South Africa. The blacks ran out all the whites. Now the farms aren’t producing and the people are starving but the blacks won’t change. Genitics folks and nothing you are going to do will change it.
Along with subsidized housing, health care, and government schools.

The suspects were identified as: Joseph Carter Jr., 42, of Wilmington; David Cole Jr., 64, of Long Beach; Debra Ann Johnson, 49, of La Mirada; Kenneth Bernard Riley, 45, of Moreno Valley; Gerald Plaze Thomas, 43, of Los Angeles; and Anthony Quin Wheeler, 47, of Inglewood.
The above are described as alleged members or associates of the Crenshaw Mafia Gangster Bloods street gang.

Ridiculous. As if a Vietnamese child growing up in a foster family, or many biological families, for that matter, is going to be violent.
Unfortunately, racism is sometimes found on FR and weekend nights seem to be a hotspot.

I am not sure I want snipers. I want them to know that the People they threaten are the ones killing them. I am not advocating wholesale slaughter of any groups; just gangbangers with no value of human life. Maybe that is becoming a larger number.
And LA isn’t the only area with gang problems; it is moving into Middle America too. Illegal immigration is spreading hipsanic (read Mexican) gangs into areas where gangs were thought of when one talked about West Side Story.
I guess we will stock up on ammunition and see how long it takes before I need to step outside the door and start defending what is mine.
