If it’s a true FISCAL EMERGENCY - why not address it immediately. Why wait until after the holidays?? I’m not so sure that the legislators and the gubernator have their time priorities in the right order.

The problem is most of state spending is on auto-pilot and its guaranteed regardless of how the economy performs. Its a set-up that discourages responsible budgeting since legislators can't set priorities and shift scarce money to where its needed most.

An excellent idea. Also, Arnold could tell them that he can either cut expenditures by cutting their wages and beni's or by deporting the illegal aliens who continue to suckle from the public teat. Given that choice, I'll bet no one with his job on the line would hesitate to personally escort his nanny or gardener to the border.
