I was just reading an article in the Weekly Standard about how the governor and legislature all celebrated the biggest tax raise in MD history... what is WRONG with the people of MD, voting in these putzes.... do they enjoy turning more of their paychecks over to these creeps?

Maryland's Department of Human Resources, which oversees the administration, investigated the 52,000 cases and determined that 36,905 had valid Social Security numbers but had not reported them because of a federal guideline that allows aid recipients 12 months before requiring the number. I'll bet you can't work 12 months without providing a Social. Of course the government would require the number immediately so they can steal our money but not to give it away.

Maryland paid welfare benefits to about 52,000 residents who in 2006 did not provide Social Security numbers or used invalid ones, according to a state audit of the Family Investment Administration...The 52,000 cases were out of 887,000 handled by the administration last year.

I believe one of the main problems is the goobernment drones that work for us have a vested interest in actively seeking new candidates for the freebies. People in the welfare offices would suffer from a lack of work and would end up out of a job.
I noticed when BJ Clintoon was governor, he had a welfare cut? and the number of minority workers in the local welfare offices increased dramatically. He cut the number on welfare and increased the government workers.

what is WRONG with the people of MD, voting in these putzes.... Maryland's proximity to DC floods it with federal government workers and contractors with high salaries. This leads to its having the highest median income in the US.
The current all Dem state govt. does not care one bit about non-government businesses. He/they can get enough votes to stay in power from aforementioned employees, state and local govt. employees and the huge dependency class primarily in Baltimore City and PG County.
Maryland is the Dems' test state. The current gov ran against Pres. Bush and the Republicans who were messing up in Congress. His slogan as mayor of Baltimore City was "Believe." Not Believe in anything specific, just Believe.
Next is almost universal health care from govt. provided health insurance, planned for Howard County, with almost no poor people. If it works there, they'll claim it can work in the entire country.
The Baltimore Sun is a propaganda rag for the Dem party.
