We need 535 infantryman Alejandro Albarran in the House and Senate and S-can the current crop prairie gofers who just stand around and look stupid and get nothing done.

Maybe then SSI, the Borders etc. will get fixed.

Hat's off to you and your wife Alejandro!

“I admire the wife’s willingness to enlist but I disagree with it.That family has done its bit for this country. His wife’s main duty is to take care of her wounded husband.”

No flames. Just a remark.

What you say is true. But some choose to go ‘beyond the call of duty’.

And like the soldier who arranged for a blind girl in Iraq to be brought to the states and given cornea transplants so that she might see.

Those people are what make this country great.

It is why we will win.

Their family is going to need a lot of prayers. The daughter will miss her mommy terribly. Husband has memory problems, and must raise his daughter alone for more than one year. Mom will possibly be in harm’s way 24/7, missing her husband and baby. Prayers being sent.

Perhaps she’s more concerned with the wound to his spirit than the wound to his leg.

Sorry. Were my husband in the middle of rehab, I sure wouldn't run off for basic training. She can't fix the wound in his soul.

Sounds like they've got good hearts and a lot of spirit, but I disagree with their decisions.

He is wearing Corporal stripes.

Must have gotten a lateral, Specialist and Corporal are the same pay grade, but a CPL is an NCO.

Great story though.

Maybe he drives her crazy—hanging around the house all the time. God’s mercy and blessings on them all as they adjust to the changes in their lives.

More than a year after infantryman Alejandro Albarran lost part of his right leg to a blast in Iraq, he still hasn't decided whether he'll stay in the Army.

Promote him. Put him in charge of whatever he does best.

Another amazing American story.
