Police in Arvada said the New Life violence was likely related to the shooting early Sunday morning when a man opened fire after he was denied shelter at a dormitory for Christian missionaries in training. [Emphasis mine]
I've started to see this quote now in a number of news reports. Sounds as if the MSM is coalescing around the spin that has been decided to be applied to this particular story. I.e. readers are supposed to think, "Well! What on earth were those hypocritical Christians thinking?!? Sure, the guy massively over-reacted to their denying him shelter on a cold night, but after all, they were partly responsible for bringing this on themselves!"
Those five words - "after he was denied shelter" - are a grossly negative spin of the available facts so far:
Thank God you did not go to those services yesterday morning!

Did not mean anything except that memories of past investigations in Colorado - not in Colorado Springs so I apologize for that wording - as in other places around the country - have not been forthcoming with all the facts very quickly.
Was thinking of the Columbine High School shootings and of the Jon Benet Ramsey murder.
Sorry did not mean to impune the people of Colorado Springs. Again, I apologize.
I guess the strongest memory is of what went on at Columbine and that even years after that tragedy, the full truth may not be out there.
Same with the Ramsey case.
And, of course, there have been many incidents of violence (like the Oklahoma individual who blew himself up on a bench outside a college football stadium)....in other places...in which the full truth of what occurred never has been made public.
So it’s not just a Colorado investigative “tendency”.
Again, apologies for my comments...they were unthinking.
Hoping that all is made known as soon as possible about these shootings by LEO.
It could be another Columbine type of planned attack....cut short by the heroic actions of that volunteer female Security Guard!
I just hope we get all the facts about it asap.

And continue to thank GOD for His mercy in having that security Guard there at just the right place at just the right time to avert worse tragedy.

Did not mean to impune the good people of Colorado Springs or of Colorado. Was talking more about the investigations into crimes there in Colorado which were not forthcoming with the facts at the time of the tragedies....and even after many years still there are many questions about those crimes.

I picked up on this spin yesterday on Fox. Blame the victims not the perp...seems like “normal” journalistic bias to me. You’d think the reporters would at least entertain the thought that the guy was hanging around to “scope” out the scene.
He had a car and they say they are searching a home? That doesn’t sound like he didn’t have a place (or the ability to find a place) to sleep.
