I live about a mile from Lick Creek.

That's nothing! I live close to Big Bone Lick State Park.

All of the "Lick" and "licking" names come from the pioneers noticing places where the deer and elk would come to "lick" salt at natural occurances. These were naturally good places to kill the critters for meat. Hence the names.

Also, this whole story reminds me of the award-winning, but now un-PC chidren's book, "The Five Chinese Brothers." One is condemned to death, unjustly, and asks to go home and say farewell to his Mom. This is allowed, and he is substituted by another brother. Each has a talent to defeat the execution method. One has an iron neck and can't be beheaded. One can hold his breath, and so can't be drowned, etc. SO, as the picture book goes on, each is substituted for the right brother, and finally the evil emperor gives up. A nice book.

Danny Bonaduce on the right?

Speaking of Bonaduce, there's a picture floating around on the Internet of him on some stage, naked, that is forcing many to believe that he has abused steroids in his lifetime.

Hint: his unit is dinky and his scrotum is large.

Yeah, we learned all about the salt licks there. Unfortunately, I'm still immature enough to giggle at it and cringe if I ever have to say the name to my kids.

Round up all four of ‘em and give ‘em each 90 days in separate cells just on general principles. From then on whenever any one commits an offense they all four receive whatever punishment is due. Let them police each other or all rot in jail. Enough is enough.
