KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee said Tuesday that he is “heartbroken” over the pain suffered by the families of two women murdered in Kansas City more than six years ago. Authorities say the two victims, Carol Shields and Sara Andrasek, were killed by the same man — Wayne DuMond, who was released from an Arkansas prison in 1999,

Mob mentality has taken over. Hide the rope.

Hey, at least we know that whoever is responsible for the lynching will get pardoned by Huck!

I will vote Obama or Clinton before I would vote for him. I really think he is more liberal than they are.

Two men from Hope, Arkansas...Bill Clinton and Mike Huckabee, the population of the city is 10,467...what are the chances. Probably the mentality of Mike Huckabee, allowed Bill Clinton to rape again.

Sorry. I wasn't clear. I wasn't saying that I viewed the Arkansas electorate as "the dumb4ss taxpayers who elected him", but that I believe Huckabee views them as such.

The Huckster said whatever he had to say to get elected, and then he treated the electorate like a bunch of children whom he had to "shepherd" in the "right direction".

He's pure socialist, pure elitists. All his down-home-aw-shuckness is just Clintonesque electioneering trickery.

I would vote for Obama before I would vote for Huck, but there is no way I would vote for Satan...Hillary.

Pathetic. It reflects the same impaired judgment that drives him to welcome illegals and give their kids taxpayer dollars. Misguided “compassion” is no more than a figleaf for evil.

How about we post the whole story rather than one out of context sentence.

Such a fine man....smothered a mother of 6.

You know I’m gonna vote for the fine fellow who had him released.

this is a very, very strange story. I’ve been reading about it.

My nails are wet. Give me a moment and I’ll post my thoughts.

It took Huckabee 5 days to admit he was trying to get Dumond out of prison. All indications are he let the parole board take the heat for it - or do you deny he praised the parole board for their actions?

On the day of the vote, Huckabee released a statement in support of the board’s action: “I concur with the board’s action and hope the lives of all those involved can move forward. The action of the board accomplishes what I sought to do in considering an earlier request for commutation ...

“In light of the action of the board, my original intent to commute the sentence to time served is no longer relevant.”

Huckabee’s office then released a letter to Dumond denying his application for a pardon.

“Dear Wayne,” Huckabee wrote, “I have reviewed your applications for executive clemency, specifically a commutation and/or pardon. ... My desire is that you be released from prison. I feel now that parole is the best way for your reintegration into society. ... Therefore, after careful consideration ... I have denied your applications.” Huckabee was able to achieve what he wanted to do in the first place: Release Dumond from prison with no apparent political cost to the governor. The public was told that Dumond was paroled solely due to an autonomous decision by the Post Prison Transfer Board.

All the above, while appreciated as a fair and balanced presentation of the facts....is just such a lie.

First, Huckabee actually WENT to the parole board meeting when DuMond’s release was discussed.

How many governors do this?

I’ll admit readily that I don’t much know about the movements of governors but just his attendance at such a thing would be indicative of his feelings on the matter. Two of his aids have indicated that Huck wanted DuMond released.

What...is EVERYBODY lying about Huckabee? Except him and his cute “aw shucks” grin.

He released a fellow who went on to kill a mother of 6. And he should be president?

Heh.

Give it up Huck....for whatever reason you let this guy loose. You shall pay the price.

What you describe is all gobblygook.

He got the parole board to let him go. Tucker commuted DuMond’s sentence to 39.5 years....THIRTY NINE AND A HALF years.....and this is a reduction. You don’t get that kind of time for smoking a joint.

With time served DuMond was eligible for parole and Huckabee made it happen, yes he did. I don’t know why but I’m very suspicious.

So Huck brings pressure on the parole board who then let this fine fellow go and he does not then have to grant him a pardon.

If Huck wins the presidency those two women DuMond killed will mean essentially nothing and American is not a whole lot better than Saudi Arabia.

Huck’s lying through his teeth.

Huckabee Was a Commutation and Pardon Machine

___ Here are the figures for neighboring states since 1996, when Huckabee took office (and keep in mind the population of these states is nearly 20 times ours):
___ >> Louisiana – 213.
___ >> Mississippi – 24.
___ >> Missouri – 79.
___ >> Oklahoma – 178.
___ >> Tennessee – 32.
___ >> Texas – 98 (in-cludes 36 inmates released because they were convicted on drug charges with planted evidence).

___ Total: 624 vs. Huckabee’s 703.

___ Governors in neighboring states almost never grant killers clemency, while Huckabee has commuted the sentences of a dozen murderers.

I got it, AM.

I think pardons were sold and I think the fine Mr. DuMond bought one. It can’t be proved but that record sure speaks loud, don’t it.

Also I remember the Clintons sold pardons aplenty.

I’ll put this big and loud on my Blog. I’d love to find a picture of DuMond’s victim. Huckabee ought to have to look at it for the rest of his living days.

You all have GOT to read the article linked below.

http://www.arktimes.com/Articles/ArticleViewer.aspx?ArticleID=154e1aad-fd18-4efd-8d80-b5dab8559419

It’s an Arkansas newspaper and was written when DuMond died of natural causes (thank you God) in prison.

Huckabee was NOT running for president in 2005....this article is shocking. Did you know that Huckabee believed the camp that said that DuMond’s original rape victim totally made up her story? I wonder if Huckabee ever apologized to Ashley Stevens, DuMond’s first rape victim and who had met with Huck to tell him HER side of the story.

Huck had it ALL wrong. He said there was no DNA evidence linking DuMond to Stevens’ rape when that was NOT true. No DNA evidence had been TESTED, who knows why....it was a ways back so there wasn’t the more exact DNA testing they have today...still why wasn’t the DNA testing done before DuMond was released?...if they even KEPT the DNA. I’m guessing they didn’t but even so...it’s not the same thing as there having been NO DNA....as Huckabee and his enablers kept obsfucating.

Also, there were quite a few folk with money supporting this DuMond...including some that would quite surprise. DuMond was visited every week by a bunch of church ladies and, in fact, he married one after his release.

Have these stupid people apologized to the six children of DuMond’s victim who no longer have their mother.

This DuMond case really reeks.

Huckster Posters from the Hillary Camp , please support Huck, do it for a Hillary Win in ‘05.

It's the dem's who want Huckabubba to win the nomination. Ask yourself this: In the general election, with security a key issue, who will look tougher, Hillary Clinton or an amnesty-granting, pardon-issuing, psalm-sobbing cracker governor?
