The two main beating victims, the woman and her boyfriend, were white (as was the elderly passenger). The nine fourteen- and fifteen-year-olds who issued the beating, and the bus driver who helped save the beating victims, were black.
Had I not tripped over a reference to this on Michelle Malkin's blog this morning, I wouldn't have known about this incident. Do you think if nine white kids had shattered a black woman's eyesocket and thrown her off a bus, that would be the case? Right.
One does not merely ride the bus into Baltimordor.

I heard she used the N word and spat on the kids... still no excuse for violence. Assault charges should be pressed. Where is Al Sharphead?

Surprisingly, it looks like the Bodymore, Murderland MTA is investigating the criminals and not the victims.

The “parents” are apparently defending the little thugs by claiming they were “provoked.” They say the woman spit or perhaps displayed a knife.
Why her doing so would constitute sufficient provocation to justify such an attack is left unsaid.
Apparently the parents aren’t too bright. What they should have claimed is that she used an “ethnic slur.” As we all know, that immediately justifies any and all response up to homicide.

“no evidence that the severe beating of a 26-year-old woman on a city bus this week was provoked and that they are investigating the attack as a possible racially motivated hate crime.”
This is very hard for the Baltimore SUN to swallow.

A white schoolgirl in New York either lost or nearly lost sight in one eye a couple of years ago after a black gang beat her up. The mainstream media buried the story.

By that logic, then the Jena 6 on 1 assault was race related.
Oh, wait, it was.

‘Mayor Sheila Dixon released a statement saying she was “extremely concerned” about the attack.’
Yet a few weeks ago she went hook, line & sinker for the HOAX of a stupid DRAWING of a “threat” with some vague “noose” on it, and got all enraged about “racism” (you know what kind). In Baltimore, of all places.
Made by a black employee who wanted to cause trouble (because he knows the blacks WILL get all huffed up about it).

I am seriously getting fed up reading stories like this and how much denial exists out there about racism beyond whitey. How many more instances of this blatant example of what liberals should be describing as a “hate crime” should society have to bear?
Baltimore is a cesspool and why any self respecting white person or middle class black person would live there is beyond me.

That’s middle school age in Baltimore? These aren’t kids, they’re full nearly full grown adults.

A leading local transit advocate said yesterday that he generally agrees the MTA system is safe but said riders have come to dread certain bus runs called "trippers" that take city youths to and from school. The No. 27 bus on which Tuesday's assault occurred was such a run - with its starting point at the Poole school as classes let out."I don't feel unsafe on the buses. I feel uncomfortable on the trippers," said Ed Cohen, president of the Transit Riders Action Council. "The general view of riders who ever happen to board one of those trippers is that they've boarded a rolling hellhole."

seems like they’re on the horns of a dilemma - the thugs are black - the victims are white - if it stopped there, no problem - NO HATE CRIME - but
it was a BLACK bus driver who called the police and then came to the aid of the WHITES and got himself attacked too...
what to do = what to do.
