On a side note - In class the other day, we were discussing the Texas Revolution. One Hispanic student got on a tangent about how Texas should be in Mexico and everyone hates Mexicans and how unfair borders were. I’m proud to say the rest of the class jumped in with comments such as it’s not Mexicans but illegals that we’re upset with and borders are there for our safety. I asked if she had locks on her front door and how unfair she was to not want strangers wandering through her home anytime they wanted. At the end she only conceded it was probably best to have our northern border to keep Canadians out.....

In class the other day, we were discussing the Texas Revolution. One Hispanic student got on a tangent about how Texas should be in Mexico and everyone hates Mexicans . . .I'm a little more aggressive. When the "you stole the land from us" routine starts, I say, "Only for the sake of argument, what the L did you do with the land we let you keep?"
That gets a deer-in-the-headlighhts" look as the Anglos are usually assuming the fetal postion by then. The follow-up shuts them up, "Both sides of the border looked the same in 1847. We took ours amd made it a generator of wealth and prosperity. You turned your side into a corrupt hellhole that forces it people to risk their lives getting out of the place."
Sometimes, instead of silence, I get "You're just racist!".
Now they tend to stay away from me or keep silent on the subject. It just takes a little confrontation to flabbergast these types - they not used to it.
Try it - you'll like it. After a while one goes on the prod for these Anglos-are-bad types.

You have a nice way of handling it. Someone on this forum once remarked that if America was to turn every state except North Dakota over to illegal immigrants, it would be just a matter of time before they would be clamoring to get into Fargo, Minot and Williston.

Somebody should have asked her if she's read the names of the dead
at The Alamo.
Just to know that a fair percentage of the folks that died at
The Alamo were Mexicans who realized how aweful the government of
Mexico was...and were trying to make sure Texas would no longer
be a part of a sad country.
The one that was called Mexico.
And things haven't changed much in over a 150 years.

I've not investigated this...but a fairly knowlegeable colleague tells
me that soon after the Mexican-American War, our Congress debated
as to whether just take over all of Mexico.
If I understand correctly, the general thought was "We can't
really integrate with a messed-up country like that!. Taking
all of Mexico would end up being a drag on the American Enterprise!".

If you want to put down any further talk about “you stole our land”, ask the little darlings if they know anything about Governor Francisco Garcia of Zacatecas.
If they don’t, tell them to research him before claiming that only Anglos wanted to be free of the oppression of the Mexican government.

We need a little FR "caucus" of our own, offline, with a group of Duncan supporters privately, to discuss that despite where we all are, and our own time commitments, how between now and the Iowa caucuses we can support Duncan there through cyber warfare in Iowa using our very own computers (even in our pajamas if need be), such as reaching undecided in Iowa by the internet, getting letters to the editor in the paper in Des Moines and elsewhere, etc. etc.
Maybe be Freepmail? We could develop a ping list, keep adding people to it, and start in on various individual ideas, committments and chores. I am good for a few hours a week.....

Sorry. I'm sticking with Fred and the more I see of him, the more I like him.
I have profound respect for Hunter and would be honored to have him be my president. I may agree even more with Fred on economic issues.
The only other one I consider worthy is Tancredo.
To: Conservativegreatgrandma
That's fine. Good luck!
Hunter supporters will still be organizing, though.
Take care.

You’ll come closer to stopping Huck by switching to Fred.
