True.
Considering I’m a Roman Catholic, and do not have much use for any protestants, yet I will be supporting this Baptist 100%.
I have no idea what you are talking about.. Are you suggesting that by answering a persons question about what you believe or don’t believe is somehow an “insult” to someone who does not share the same faith?
If that is what you are saying you have fallen off the deep end my friend... if not please clarify.
I had a great conversation with a devout muslim the other day, he was sharing with me about the “Holy Days” that are upon us, and the fact that many muslims will being their “Haj” very soon.. I listened to him, and thanked him for sharing with me why these days are so important to him..... and then he listened to me as I shared about my faith..... I gave him my copy of the Koran (english/arabic)... I told him that I got it before I deployed to Iraq so that I could look up any references that folks made to ensure that they were not misquoting... At the same time this gentleman signed a Bible and gave it to me, and in the note he called me “Brother” because we share a desire for a safe and prosperous Iraq..
How did Guliani respond? I missed the debate.
do not have much use for any protestants,
“Considering Im a Roman Catholic, and do not have much use for any protestants”
Very Christian attitude of you.
I was agreeing with your statement.
It seems like he’s reaching out to the guy who was obviously a hate filled liberal and offering him a chance to learn something.
In defense of my good FRiend pissant.. I understood exactly what you meant by that comment.. As a non-denominational Christian I took no offense to it..
I think you are reading into it what I did not intend. I was speaking denominationally. Look at the statement I was responding to.
Thank you. I probably could have phrased it more precisely. LOL
“Let me start by saying that I believe in every word of the Constitution of the United States, wherein there shall be no religious test for public office.”
“To those who wonder what values will guide me in office, I say the message laid out in the Holy Bible, which values life, free will, and equality and does not call for the unfair treatment of nonbelievers. Beyond that the specifics of my faith are no one’s business, and most certainly not fodder for this forum.”
Good response. Thanks for posting.
Hunter is just such an awesome god-filled man. I wish our country was ready for him.
Still, I will support his nomination as long as he is in the running! Go Hunter! Catch Fire!
He said his favorite scripture are the ones beginning in Chapter 9 verse 11.
Are you Irish? I thought most Americans had gotten past that kind of pettiness. Many of my religious views are polar opposites of Catholicism, and yet some of my dearest friends are Catholic (and Jewish and Hindu).
Mine too! Go Hunter!
Some of my best friends are protestants. We are even.
