Morons.. The American public rates Congress as the lowest things on the planet, liking just about /anything/ more than it. Why they’d want to annoy the electorate even further I don’t know, but this type of trash is perfect for the Republican party.

Maryland is the test case state for these maneuvers.
By a ‘fluke’ fove years age, voters actually put a Republican in the Governor’s Mansion for four yrars. What a shock to the Establishment Party, who still controlled both houses of the legislature and both big city newspapers.
As the Republican governor had inherited a deficit, he went on a cutting spending plan, and among other things, he removed people and positions from the state payroll. Some of these people were not civil servants but political appointees who served at the pleasure of the governor. Since there hadn’t been anything but a Dem governor for decades, they never considered that their jobs could be in peril. Also the previous Dem governor had converted hundreds of positions out of the civil service in another example of crooked politics.
Anyway, the legislature started “investigating” the firing practices of Governor Ehrlich. This demonization lasted for his entire governorship, with the aid of the Baltimore Sun and the Washington Post. There was no “there” there.
See the MD4Bush stories.
Now Congress is doing the same thing to President Bush, via Rove, Bolten, Miers, etc.
This will put “criminaltiy” in the so-called news reporting all next year, in order to convince voters not to vote anywhere on any tickets for any Republican.

You should be charged with treason for leaking classified information while you were a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee. You despicable p.o.s.

...but Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), concerned about divisions within her party over the issue, has yet to set a date for a floor vote. Translation: she doesn't have the votes to win and would look foolish to try. Why take a hit as speaker playing the part of the fool when Leahy will do it?

Is Vermont still a state? I thought they seceded or sumptin’ decades ago. Maybe Leahy’s just rubbing it in. Didn’t they join Canada?
Do any Freepers know, is Canada a state or are they just a possession like Puerto Rico?

Rove and Bolten were subpoenaed earlier in the year by the Senate panel
as part of the investigation into the sacking of nine U.S. attorneys. When will they subpoena Clinton?
NM, I'm just being ridiculous and bipartisan..
