The Yankee Pot Roast has a link to the recipe under the picture of the farmhouse with the pond - just above the pound cake. It does sound yummy. :)

Mostly celebrities and the wealthy inhabit the coastal areas of Connecticut.

I’ve never lived there; I live in southeast MA and have been all over New England.

Just realized I didn't answer this post before I left earlier this evening. I got that the coastal areas of CT were where the 'rich and famous' lived. Even President Bush was born there (though he will always be a Texan to us!)

Remembered that MA was your home when Mama Bear profiled your state a few weeks ago.

P.S. - forgot my smileys - that post sounded so stuffy and didn't mean for it to!

:) :)

I think it’s better without them there.

Thanks, Billie, I will locate it in the morning. Think I will turn in as it is about 11:15. Fix the coffee and check the doors and it will be time for Jay Leno. I turn my t.v. on in my bedroom and set the time for 30 minutes and am usually asleep in 5 minutes and the t.v. takes care of itself.

He can be a Texan; I like Texans. At least we have his family coming up to Kennebunkport once in a while.

How many times do you think New England would fit into Texas?

The robins here usually leave but I have been seeing them this fall and I was wondering if they are now staying??

Love your robin picture. They are so pretty surrounded by red berries, aren’t they? Hope they don’t aim for my car~~LOL~~
Birds do fly through my carport at times and get my car..whew!

Just think what could happen if you didn’t have a carport.

No bird is as bad as the fir trees’ pitch in a friend’s yard. It’s the pitch from hell. It looks like someone poured out a dollop of super glue on your paint job.

Don't make me do math - I hate math! But that's a good question - maybe someone would like to total the land area of all the New England states and see what the ratio is?

Texas land area is 261,797.12 sq mi. (Connecticut land area is 4,844 sq mi)

Notice I pinged the guys along with you - math's usually a guy thing. :)

Connecticut would fit 50 times!

I have to hit the hay. Have a good night. Maybe I’ll wake up in the morning and the answer will be here!

Oh, Billie, I am so sorry I missed your guided tour of Connecticut. It's almost 12:30 AM and I am just now getting here. Too exhausted to read the entire thread, but wanted to tell you how beautiful your presentation is. I love the muted green and the plaid....and all the talent and time you put into your graphics.

You know, I started to work on Connecticut a couple years ago but at the time I just couldn't get inspired enough to complete it. I can see that wasn't your problem. I guess I just didn't look deep enough. It does appear to be a beautiful state with a rich history. It is one of the few states I have never visited. I would love spend some time there.....but not in winter. Maybe spring, or fall. :-)

I am not at 100% yet but sure better than I was. Whatever I had made me want to sleep all the time. I was taking the antibiotic and it might work that way...not sure. The thing that helps my sinuses more than anything is that ‘Ocean’ saline spray and you can use it as much as you need.

I see Billie showed you the link. It sounds so delicious. Let me know how yours comes out and I’ll let you know how I do making this recipe. :)
