It is good all of this is coming out now and if there is more, let’s get it all out in the open. I can’t believe Republicans are not only considering Rudy but have him leading the field. The “beat Hillary” mentality will be exactly what gets her elected if she does. You put a real conservative up against her and she is done. If the polls are to be believed, the Republicans seem short on Conservatives and long on hypocrites.

The 8 years Republicans went after Clinton for his lax morals, sexual harassment and indiscreet trysts could be termed nothing other than hypocrisy, if Rudy is the nominee. We went after Clinton as a draft-dodger and now nominate Rudy, who did a fair job of dodging himself? The man could have no character at all. A man with character does not announce he and his wife are divorcing to millions of people, when that’s the first his wife had heard of it. This “beat Hillary” or “elect someone who isn’t too conservative and won’t offend peoples delicate sensibilities”, is just pure, unadulterated BS. It has to stop, yesterday.

This should wake up the electorate, but many will cop the attitude “aren’t they all (Politicians) a bunch of (Insert your favorite negative assertion.) just as they did with Bill Clinton. IOW “Anh, So What!”

As I’ve said many a time NO RUDY. The Republicans need to clean up their act, or get the hook for letting this Liberal Democrat use and abuse their Party name.

Something about these numbers doesn’t pass the smell test though. I have never had an affair, but I have dated, and someone like Rudy had to keep his head down when he was having these trysts. That being the case how the hell did he rack up that much in the way of expenses for an affair? Gas isn’t that expensive, neither is a hotel room, no matter where you go. The numbers that are being thrown around sound more like the death toll figures the DUmmies use for Iraq, something is being exaggerated or intentionally slanted to make Rudy look bad here. Personally I don’t like the guy and am pulling for Mitt myself, but something about this stinks whether or not you support him or not.

“whether you support him or not...” Geez, between my fat fingers and no coffee I am a mental danger near a keyboard this early.

“EVERY politician, from dog-catcher on up, has presidential aspirations.”

That is laughable.

Because power corrupts, society's demands for moral authority and character increase as the importance of the position increases.

These stories are going to become more common if Rudy gets the nomination.

Remember Clinton fatigue regarding the sex, lies, coverups?

In an ironic twist, Clinton-fatigued voters might pick Hillary over Rudy.

Yes. And he did poorly in the debate in spite of CNN trying to fix it.

If you combine this with other the Kerik deal, Rudy is beginning to not past the smell test.

Kerik was enough for me to think he was starting to smell foul.

Thankfully Romney is not the only other candidate running.

Most articles don't mention the fact that John McCain's wife was crippled in an accident before he cheated on her and divorced her, but here are more details:

"On Christmas Eve in 1969, she suffered even more tragedy; she skidded off the road into a telephone pole, her body thrown through the windshield onto the snow, both legs and one arm broken, her spleen ruptured. After nearly losing her left leg and enduring more than a dozen operations, she emerged four inches shorter than before the accident."

Robert Timberg, author of the McCain bio The Nightingale's Song, told C-Span's Brian Lamb in 1995, "Carol McCain nearly died, was in a wheelchair, had 23 operations....And this was in 1969. John McCain didn't get out of prison till 1973."

Despite her own physical devastation, Mrs. McCain put her husband's welfare first. Timber told Lamb, "About the first thing Carol McCain said to her doctors when she could speak again was, 'I don't want John to know about this. He's got enough problems of his own. You know, we'll deal with it when he gets home."

And just how did McCain deal with his wife's ordeal when his own was over? TNR's Grann reports:

"Despite such devotion, McCain soon began to chase other women when he returned from Vietnam, just as he had at the Naval Academy, where he ran around with strippers and stewardesses......His marriage to Carol soon ended in divorce."

John McCain's Newt Problem

That man totally disgusts me.

“Does that leave us with Romney?”

No.
Romney is the Republican version of greasy John Edwards.

Romney has his own permanent table at the Waffle House, right next to Edward’s table

$34,000? Sheesh -- I have yet to run up 1/10th that on any of my business trips.

A half a million? That’s a lot of money for some side action.

Oh well, he got to stick the NYC tax payers with the bill.

Rudy is too stupid to be President if he didn’t think this would come out in a campaign against Hillary in ‘08. His shady connections and accusations such as this one lets Hillary off the hook concerning her own shady past. He should have quit while his reputation was intact and gone off into a good retirement with Judi.

I don't think he's actually stupid. I just think that he, like most perverts, does not view his perverted behavior as wrong. I don't think he can grasp why others might take a dim view of this kind of thing. I think that's why these problems are not treatable.

If a bunch of liberal Democrats designed the perfect (for them) GOP Presidential candidate, they couldn't do better than Rudy.

He carries around loads of scandal, and, even if (by some miracle) the scandals don't shoot him down, he believes in the same things the liberal Dems believe anyway. Either way they win.

Rudy vs. the Dems means that a radical liberal with no morals will win the Presidency.

No way can we allow this slimy horndog to get the nomination. I cannot fathom why any self-respecting Republican could even consider it. It’s surreal.

Yes it is!

But what is really SURREAL--is the willingness of many Republicans to put their 'heads in the sand' and look the other way for a LIBERAL like Rudy (saying that character and personal conduct do NOT matter)--while many of those same Republicans slammed Bill Clinton saying that personal conduct, integrity, CHARACTER do matter!!! Talk about hypocrisy (and for a liberal yet)!

The irony is more than surreal. It is pathetic.
