Thompson gets ignored because he has gone so far out of his way to show his distaste for us since he entered the race that we really have no reason to trust or like him.

I believe it is only fair to allow a rigorous path to citizenship to those who can prove they have been here for 7 or so years, paying taxes.

You do!? It takes currently 5 years as a legal immigrant (green card holder) in good standing in order to be eligible to apply. If you are a legal non-resident alien, such as an H1B1 visa holder, it takes more than 6 years to just get a green card. It took me with a doctorate in an engineering discipline 12 years to go through student visa, H1B1 and green card to become a citizen of this great country. How is it fair to allow people who at the minimum have violated both the immigration and labor laws to become full-rights citizens in 7 years, or ever for that matter?

If the economy needs new blood so much, streamline the legal immigration process and you will get the highest quality, highly educated people from every corner of this planet, eager to assimilate.

The two easiest ways

Normally I wouldn't play grammar police for something so minor, but this is the third time you've posted the exact same thing, so I figure we're going to see it again (and again) and there is little hope of you catching it on your own.

BTW, I thought the easiest way for a fraud to get power was though the entertainment industry or the press.

I would disagree with you there - most social conservatives would like smaller government. The only issues that we really want decided on a national level are abortion and marriage. The Washington DC groups may get a beltway mentality in the same way that most groups based in DC do. However, many of us would be happy to dismantle parts of the federal government like the endowment for the arts, the department of education, OSHA, Social Security, The Endangered Species Act, the Welfare Program, and many other federal regulatory schemes.

Thompson has a great message, but needs to polish his speaking skills to make the message come across a little better .

I don't think "speaking skills" have anything to do with it. Most of those responding to polls have never heard Thompson speak, everything they know about him is what they've read or have seen on TV, mostly by the MSM. People can deride the MSM by calling it the "Dinosaur Media" all they want, but this is still where most people get there information from and they base their decisions on that information.

I guess I am an evangelical Christian and at this point I am evaluating FDT or Hunter.

Huckabee, Rudy, Paul, or Romney means I stay home.

Thompson is ignored by the MSM because his campaign is not designed to depend on the MSM. This means no Ad buys.

Besides I don’t think wallace liked being b*tch slapped by Thompson. Regardless of your views, it is always nice to see the MSM squirm.

No doubt that he needs much more exposure , which would dictate running more TV ads .

I was referring to interviews , in regards to getting his message across when speaking .

I'm sick of Huckabee and his hypocritcal nanny message regarding fat people.

His adult son David is as big as a house...wonder where he's hiding him these days? But if Mike gets the nomination, the MSM will make sure there's a family photo..

Yahoo's? LOL.

I live in Arkansas. It's a toss up who Arkansans dislike more , Hillary or Mike. But since most of the State's voters are Democrat, Hillary will beat Mike hands down.

He's NOT so likeable here...get it?

Here are Thompson’s actions / comments that have given me the impression that Thompson either does not like social conservatives or at least does not share our values. His comments about not attending church and not wanting to talk about his faith, his statement that he didn’t march to anyones drumn (when asked about trying to patch things up with Dobson.) His willingness in the past to have given legal advice / lobbied (possibly?) for a pro-abortion group, his willingness to support Dole’s effort to remove the pro-life plank from the Republican Platform, his oppossition to the Federal Marriage Amendment, His use of the democrats talking points when he equated laws against abortion with criminalizing young women, his opposition to the federal marriage amendment, and last but certainly not least, his comments about Terri Schievo where he went so far as to say that he “resent[ed], frankly, the political football that’s been made out of all that, and, and it’s unfortunate. The less government, the better.”

I don’t know about that. The media was lauding Thompson’s possible candidacy all summer. In fact, they were pushing him back in December of last year when I first heard about him while watching the news in an airport. His campaign was built by the media so he can hardly complain when the fickle media starts to attack.
