It’s a shame that the judge can’t also be charged with “rendering criminal assistance.”
Apparently no one in the court thought he had enough issues to worry about. The judge even ordered him released on his own recognizance, after the prosecutor asked for $50,000 bail for crimes committed in prison.
I'd say that's BS. What likely happened was he tried to hit them up for money and the young man refused. To him, that was an insult.
Officials say the Tavareses met through a prison pen-pals Web site.
I bet she is glad she meet and waited for this guy to get out of prison. /sarc
What is it with women who purposely try to meet men who are in prison and then start writing letters to them. This happens all the time!
Or he broke into the home. There's no way I'd invite that guy into my home or loan him money.

My hubby is a criminal defense lawyer. And this is Massachusetts.
He told me it was OK because all the money was paid in full.
A violent criminal got released from prison even though he committed a horrible crime and he was not a “good” prisoner. The released criminal walked the streets with a sense of entitlement and empowerment. The criminal had a gun, evidently his victims did not. The liberal criminal justice system worked exactly like it was intended to work.
You vote for these idiots, you live there and support them with your tax dollars. You call Republicans evil if they want to lock up criminals...... so Massachusetts...STFU and deal with it, you sheep. The smart people like Ted Kennedy, John Kerry and the this idiotic judge know what's good for you.
Daniel Tavares also is charged with one count of unlawful possession of a firearm. He was forbidden to have a gun as a condition of his parole.
Well there should be another law to make it really, really, really, really illegal to own a firearm if you're a criminal. How 'bout that Massachusetts? Cause good people don't need firearms. Just call the cops. That's what the wife should have done right after her husband was shot in the head and the criminal grabbed her and shot her in the back of the head.
So when these "victim's" families in the beautiful and intelligent Northeast whine about cr#p happening.....it's your own fault for putting up with it.
I think that they should maybe pass a tax on bullets to pay for the victims of crime and ....er....have anger management classes put in public school also.
